Bought as a gift for the Executive Chef, he used it pretty often so that seems to be a good sign. It is made in China I believe but it looks beautiful, packaged in a nice box, nice and sharp when he opened it.

Absolutely beautiful, budget knife. Extremely multi-purpose. Fits nicely in the hand. Well-balanced. The handle and blade are gorgeous. Very sharp, just be sure to maintain the blade! Comes is lovely box with sheathe and polishing cloth. Would be a great gift option for the chef in your life.

What a great knife for the price. I’m not a professional Chef but like to cook, so I wanted a nice, everyday knife and didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for a sharp, clean knife. This thing feels great and looks great! Very sharp. If you want to gift one, the box is very well build and impressive as well. Thanks for making an impressive blade at an affordable price!

The knife arrived super fast w/out me having prime (which is always nice!). It comes with a knife protector which I love and is very useful. The knife is very very sharp! I used it as soon as I got it. My only concern and why I put 4 stars is that the blade is not that comfortable, yet the knife is not heavy (i am a professional chef, girl) and I can see myself using this without tiering my arm. You get what you pay for and as of right now the knife is great!!

I've been shopping for a new chef, santoku and mini santoku for a few weeks. I've owned other decent or medium grade knifes before. I also did more research on the type of materials and metals available today. I bought 3 brands, Kessaku, Sunnecko, and Imarku. I did not want to spend more than $30-40 per knife. When knifes arrived and I started comparing balance, weight, dimensions, materials, quality, sharpness, etc, the Imarku was obviously sub-par in every single aspect, and the material was supposed to be 7cr17mov, but even that seemed questionable, and returned them immediately. Sunnecko seemed a nice blade but the sharpness was not as good, and sharpening was going to be slightly more work because it was made of VG10, the holder was also slightly slippery if my hands were wet. Kessaku just surpassed all my expectations and found no weakness, manufacturer and designers of this product really came through on everything they state. Btw... this seller is also one that supplies so much information about their product, unlike any other seller or brand that I looked at, I must have researched at least 10 brands. Thank you Kessaku for coming through with flying colors on all that was promised and stated. Highly recommend at least the three knifes I purchased.

My husband and I both love this knife. He has huge hands and I have small hands, but somehow it works well in both of our hands. It's not only beautiful to look at, but it cuts, slices, dices, minces and carves like a dream. Evenly balanced and the exact right sized handled. It has quickly become our "go-to" knife to use for just about anything. Buy it and you won't be disappointed!!

Wife loves this thing, she uses it every day. SHe says it feels just so well balanced and is as sharp as a razor.

I just started learning how to cook and I’m getting better quickly (i think). So i wanted a knife that i can invest not a huge chunk of money, but still look great and perform best.This thing is great. It comes with a safety sleeve, for quick keeping, plus it comes with a box that you can store the knife for extended periods or traveling. It has a few bonuses like a cleaning cloth, but any cloth in the kitchen will work the same. :)It is hella sharp right out of the box.My only negative comment is that the handle is very ergonomic, but the wood quality could use some more varnish or lacquer.I love this knife. I’ll probably keep this with me, as long as i keep cooking.Great job Kessaku

This nice is a joy to use and look at. Although more expensive than other chef's knives, it is in a different category when it comes to balance and precision slicing. I am very happy with this purchase!
