I had to return it, it took down half of my house electricity when I used it for the first time even though I used a whole unit by itself to avoide such an issue.

Reading through all the other reviews, I get the impression all 4 and 5-star reviews are from recent purchases. Whereas the 1-star reviews are all from people who've used the Composter over a longer period. After about 3 months, the heater in my composter died. With the lovely result that it now only produces a slimey soup. Which is useless for composting. And looks disgusting. NutriChef support is nonexistent. Amazon replied to one email and then stopped. There appears to be no way for me to return what is now a device that only makes disgusting soup. I don't need a device for that; I can do that on my own.

La primera vez, funcionó pero se formó un charco de un líquido malodorante debajo, fue desagradable. La segunda vez me costó arrancarlo, emitía un bip y no quería. Desde entonces no ha vuelto a funcionar... El soporte técnico no me contesta. El producto parece mal producido, por ejemplo tiene una cajita para recoger en agua, pero no está conectada a nada, parece que faltan tubos/agujeros. En fin, 300 euros perdidos, a ver cómo se soluciona. No lo recomiendo.

Wir haben den Komposter in unserer Ferienwohnung im Ausland stehen. Da hier ziemlich hohe Temperaturen hin den Sommermonaten herrschen und wir keine Nager durch einen im Garten aufgestellten Komposter anlocken wollen, haben wir uns für diesen elektronischen Komposter entschieden. Am Anfang waren wir sehr gespannt was das Gerät für Kompolst erzeugen wird. Nun sind wir sehr zufrieden, kein sinnloses Wegwerfen mehr von organischen Abfällen mehr. DIESE Abfälle hatten extrem gestunken und diese ekeligen Maden, endlich Schuss damit. Die Kompostierreste sind grobfaserig, aber lassen sich super auf den Blumen verteilen. Unsere Blumenkasten genießen die Mineralien die sie mit dem Kompost bekommen, es blüht und gedeiht hervorragend. Der Komposter ist etwas brummend, und er entwickelt Hitze beim Verarbeiten, darum haben wir ihn auf dem Balkon gestellt. Innerhalb von ca 2 h ist fertig verarbeitet und die Erde kann verteilt werden. Leicht zu reinigen, vethaltnismässig wenig Stromverbrauch.

Extremely happy with this. I relieves me of storing scraps in the freezer then trekking them to the composter in the wooded are of my yard. My decision to buy this was the solution of what to do with the uneaten wet and dry kitty food (I have picky eaters). I put in egg shells, vege scraps, potato peels and in about 6 hrs it’s a fine completely composted to a dust I sprinkle in the garden. It fits in a corner, I can keep scraps for a week without smell, it emits a hum-not overly loud but I turn it on for overnight. Very good purchase.
