Excellent product

The pens that these cartridges fit are the best quality board pens I have used in 20 years teaching. They are clearly more expensive than the budget pen, but last 4 times as long and produce much clearer notes throughout their life span. And the fact that you can re-cartridge them makes me feel like I'm saving the planet a little(!)

The pen is good, the refills are super easy to use and it does make you realise how much waste you create by throwing away an entire pen.

First set didnt arrive amazon sent replacement whoch did arrive, good product fit for purpose bit expensive but the quality of product makes it wort it, the nibs on pen wear down so eventually will have to buy a new set of pens to refill. Thanks amazon for great customer service

A family member has dementia and is almost completely deaf. They do not use or understand sign language, or want to wear hearing aids, so we need to either scream every sentence (not happening) or write everything down. We were using paper, but we were going through reams of it, so we opted for a whiteboard instead (they can’t read chalk on a chalkboard). As I mentioned, we are writing almost constantly, and therefore used to go thru multiple non-reusable markers a week; I felt horrible about all the plastic waste. Then, several years ago, I found the Pilot Begreen Refillable markers as a clearance item at a store, and thought I’d give them a try. They are WONDERFUL. The markers (and refills) last so much longer than the regular wide or narrow dry erase markers! It takes me several weeks to use up even one refill, and that is so much less waste! It is more cost effective, also. Since the store was closing these out, I was happy to find the refill cartridges here on Amazon; and they work perfectly. I only need to change out the ink cartridge and then recycle the empty one, and I can keep using the same markers that I got in that original closeout set. Speaking of the markers, the ones I got are a wider chisel, so depending on how you hold it, you can get a bold or thin line. They deposit a strong amount of ink, so they produce easy to read lines. They also erase well. I will say that there is residue with multiple erasures- like little dried ink particles, so you want to be careful where you put your eraser, as it could leave a layer of it behind. All in all, these are a great solution to a challenging problem in our house- and one less thing to worry about.
