First off, I have never laid my head on any non-living thing this soft and squishy yet supportive and ergonomic. The pillow is perfect, my partner was so in love that she had to get one too even though she had just bought another pillow from ikea. You will not rest your head on a better pillow than this. For a 5-10 year investment, this pillow is well worth it at a discounted price of $200 or less! Solid value for money , 1.5:1. FYI: the pillow is extremely heavy, like it can actually hurt someone in a pillow fight. But it’s so heavy that it will take tremendous strength to even swing it, let alone accurately. And honestly this is a huge plus because it doesn’t move with you when you move. For side sleepers: don’t look for any other pillow, this is the best pillow you can put your head on For back sleepers: I sleep on it on my back too and it’s really comfortable, so not just for side sleepers. For stomach sleepers: change to the two above positions because you’ll have a lot of neck and back pain down the line, but it will work for you too! For couples: yes, it perfectly comfortable for spooning, or sleeping facing each other on side, or one lays on back and the other sleeps on side.

Finding the right pillow has been difficult for me. I have either purchased or tried probably 20 different pillows over the years. I also have not been a fan of memory foam pillows due to heat retention. Having said that, I decided to try the Purple Dreamlayer standard size pillow, mainly because my son is a fan of his Purple mattress & products. Spending close to $200 for a pillow is no joke, but if you’ve never really been able to find a pillow that works for you, you’ll try anything. I’ve been using this pillow for about 10 days, and so far I love it. It comes with two additional supports that will allow you to adjust the height to your liking. For me, I use it without the adjusters. This pillow has the purple gel pattern on one side only, which is the side for your head to lay on. The pillow does not get hot for me, and it comfortably conforms to my head & neck without feeling restrictive. This pillow is somewhat heavier than a traditional pillow, but it is significantly lighter than the original purple pillow. There initially was a slight smell from the foam, but after about 10 days of use that has largely faded away and wasn’t much of an issue to begin with. I do think this pillow is way more expensive than it should be, but I also have to say it’s probably the best pillow I’ve had. If it gives you a good nights sleep, it’s worth it. Five stars is based solely on performance, not price. I recommend it, even though it does break the bank as pillows go.

As someone who has had back and neck pain with headaches for decades, I tried dozens of pillows in hopes of finding relief. Some have been terrible, many have been mediocre, a few have been close but not quite right. The Purple Dreamlayer Pillow has been THE ONE from the first night I slept on it. Great neck support, especially for side sleeping, but also good for back sleeping. I have not washed the cover yet but I'm sure it will come through just fine. I'm not fully surprised by the quality of this pillow since I also own a Purple mattress and it has been superb. I debated for a few weeks due to price and then jumped when the price dropped by $42. Yes, it's still spendy, but the comfort makes it worth it for me.

I don't know who is in churches of quality control but it's clear thus wasn't authentic or new! There are hairs, marks and piling that has already started and I just opened the flipping box! 1st what is this chemical smelling white powder?! Fentanyl?Cocaine? It certainly is not baby powder, IT STINKS! I'm scared to sleep on this chemical.This pillow does not look like the one I saw at the Purple store AT ALL, & it is HEAVY, INCONSISTENTLY BUILT, way too tall & floppy.Hard to sleep on because it just sinks & stinks. I could smell it before I even opened the zipper which was easy to use.The foam is ripped all throughout.The adjustability is ridiculous for the money! These thin pancakes of a totally different material do no good. Just because the zipper is good quality does not mean this is a purple pillow. No support when you lay on it. This has to be a joke. There needs to be better quality control. I have a sample pillow from the store & this pillow does not match and I see on the tag that it was made in a different country & they just put a purple tag on it. Sad we have to go thru this for something that costs this much.

Amazing pillow my neck pain is gone. Only down side is the smell at first went away after few days.

The absolute best, comfiest, coolest staying pillow that will give you thr best nights sleep, If it didn't smell like cat urine. Horrid smell, hard to sleep, couldn't use it. I do plan on keeping it and praying the smell will go away, but this needs to be dealt with before they sell them.

Easily the best pillow I have ever used. I am a very hot sleeper, and this pillow has helped me to feel cool each night I use it. While it is an expensive pillow, it has been well worth the money for me thus far. The ability to adjust the pillow height with the inserts as well as the firmness/softness of the pillow provides great support to my neck. I love the adjustable functionality of the pillow. Feels very durable— I hope it will last for years to come.
