Question 3

When you need to review footage having been offline for a while, are there notifications if there has been any motion detection ?

Accepted Answer

Hi there, we appreciate your inquiry. You can turn push notifications on for your phone when your camera detects activity. When enabled, you can receive camera alerts as long as you're signed into the app. However, if your phone is offline, you won’t get real time notifications. Also, there's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. But you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to record video and receive advanced notifications. With a Nest Aware subscription your video will be saved to the cloud and you’ll get extra features.
