This controller is amazing!
I bought this to use with my Steamdeck. Connecting it was a breeze. The built in wireless receiver stays neatly plugged into the controller’s charging base and I keep that plugged into to my docking station. This charging base is super handy. It fits the controller perfectly and turns it off as soon as you place it on it. It also glows temporarily to let you know it’s charging. The controller feels great in hand and the buttons and sticks function perfectly. I love the trigger stops that allow you to adjust length of pull. The connection is flawless. Battery life is insanely good. The icing on the cake is that you can cycle through fun colors around the ring’s around thumb sticks. I highly recommend this product and I will be buying another to sit at my gaming PC.

The 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller is absolutely worth every penny. The build quality feels premium, the buttons are super responsive. The connectivity is smooth with no lag at all. Battery life is excellent and the overall performance is even better than I expected. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality wireless controller, this one is a must have!

Say yes, to an 8BitDo-
If you’re looking for a good all around controller with connectivity ability's of Bluetooth, and Nintendo switch, this is 100% the controller for you. Its sleek, Feels great, has adjustable settings in the 8BitDo Controller application, Great customizability with the colors, Connects to Pc, Any bluetooth device, Switch, and Switch 2. And is overall one of the best feeling controllers Ive had, You even get reliable Thumbsticks, these jhons are Hall effect, meaning unlike other Controllers, Your not gonna get drift, and its gonna feel a whole lot smoother to use, You also get 4 Extra button’s, Swappable Mouseclick Triggers, and nice Squishy Button’s. Also bonus, it comes with a Charging dock, with an included Dongle, meaning you can just Plug the dock right in and start playing! It should be noted, these wont connect to Playstation or Xbox, and the Xbox ones 8BitDo does sell, are only wireless for Bluetooth, and are forced to be wired for Xbox. Connectivity and Delay times on this controller are astonishing, I have had absolutely No problems with this thing at all, Great battery life, Comfortable feel, All around one of the best controller brands Ive ever bought. Also color options are a plus

Great controller at a great price
Controller is on par with an official Xbox One controller in terms of build quality for a lower price point. Have been using it on PC for a while now and it seems to function well. After updating the firmware on the controller, all buttons are mapable using Steam Input which is a large plus. Thumbsticks are great and have a very smooth flow to them. Same with the triggers. Only complaint i have it that the controller uses standard tactile buttons for the ABXV buttons instead of mouse click style, but that is more of a personal preference as I am sure some people would prefer the tactice feel. Overall, I would highly recommend this controller for PC use. Easy, stable connection, good thumbsticks, good trigers, good build quality, love the charging dock.

Nice quality controller for Windows/Steamdeck
I'm not a frequent gamer, so I can only offer a casual opinion on the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller, but I have purchased many different controllers for my kids -- mostly other 8BitDo models or official Xbox controllers. We generally are using these with a Windows machine or a Steamdeck. The Ultimate Wireless 2 is a great choice for these platforms -- it includes a 2.4ghz dongle built into the charger, so one needs simply to add that charger to the PC in question to get it going. After having dealt with endless annoyances getting wireless to work with Xbox controllers (which seem to sometimes get in a state where they need firmware re-applied), it's nice to simply plug in a controller and go. These controllers also feel well-built. It is convenient that they come stock as rechargeable and with a recharging dock. I generally dislike lights on controllers, but the illumination around the sticks feels tasteful and well done -- and RGB is always a win with the kids. I wound up purchasing another of these so we could play collectively. If you are looking for a wireless controller that has no-hassle connectivity to Windows and/or the Steamdeck, this is a great choice.

Top Tier Daily Driver PC Games Controller
I love this thing. 98% of it is impeccable. 8BitDo's naming convention is a little bit confusing, but this particular controller is pretty much JUST for PC, and it is a very solid choice for PC at that. Very smooth sticks, nice membrane buttons, L2 and R2 triggers that can be transformed from analogue triggers to digital clicky buttons, all good stuff. The dpad is different from 8bitdo's earlier revisions, with it being more 'tactile' than rubber membrane. I think the closest similarity to another product might be a PS Vita dpad, where it has an in between rubber dome of most dpads of the past and the clickiness of XBOX controllers. In theory, this should be amazing for precision platformers or Tetris type of games, as you will feel when you press a direction the way you meant to or accidentally press a wrong direction input. Could it feel fatiguing? I can't quite tell, but playing games for over 2 hours at a time would fatigue me anyway. The input latency is insanely good, like you can have the dock connected to the PC and will connect with 2.4ghz to its dock and it feels just about the same as connecting the controller through a wire. You *could* use the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth if you want, but that would be better for Switch/Switch2 as I think it has more latency (according to Gamepadla) which is fine for the Nintendo Consoles and is more in line with how those controllers and consoles work. If your main focus is PC, get this instead for the better input latency. I also appreciate how classy, understated, and not 'aggressively gamer' it looks, compared to other third party controllers. My only complaint is about the R1 and L1 bumpers, but this is more of a taste thing. I would have preferred a rubber membrane button for the bumpers, but if I wanted that then I would use the older model Ultimate C that I have. If you were to get only ONE gamepad for your PC, I can highly vouch for this one.

solid premium build, very fast to connect, charging stand is extremely convenient
They fixed the connection issue from version 1. Now it never drops connection. The version 1 drops connect like 4-5 times a day. This never does. I should give it 4 stars but on these scales, a 4 star would make people not buy it when compared to other controllers it's probably better. I wish they would let you configure all the buttons on a keyboard because as it is right now, all their extra buttons are useless when it can only map to a game controller's buttons. Also I really dislike the R buttons placement, it's way too high up making me extend my index finger sideways. The joysticks padding is way too thin. It should've been fat and rounded. I really like how fast it connects after taking it off of the charger, this is way better than xbox one controller on pc. I never used the led lights. It's super distracting to have a bright light right under your eye. As for construction quality, it has a solid premium feel. I mean I'm using it for a reason. This is a decent controller and probably better than most of them. Although button placement on an xbox one controller was perfection. Also having an actual charge stand is so much nicer than a little charger that sticks to it. It's so nitpicky to say this but it feel so much nicer to just put it on a charger and take it off with one hand. Very convenient feeling and that makes all the difference.

Good, but not "same price as a 1st party controller" good
If it was just $10-15 cheaper it'd be an easy 5* no notes review. But it's the same price as a new Xbox controller, so I need to nitpick. I love the included dock to the point I feel like it should become industry standard, it really adds to the user-friendliness and pick-up-and-playability, but the actual build of the controller leaves something to be desired. The handles come straight back instead of outward like the Xbox controller, and the body is overall a bit smaller, so it's just a bit more awkward and uncomfortable to hold. The D-pad and shoulder buttons feel kinda spongy, and the triggers are weirdly firm. Thumbsticks and face buttons are adequate for a 3rd party, but the A button already feels less clicky than the others after only a couple weeks of pretty light use. I never bother using the underside buttons all the 3rd party controllers to love, but these ones feel very nice; I wish every face button was as clicky as the functionless ones under my middle fingers. Again, good controller overall. Build quality feels on par with Xbox, and it was as easy as pulling it out of the box and plugging it into my PC to start playing. But because of the ergonomics (purely subjective, unfortunately) and price, I would prefer an Xbox 1st party controller instead.
