Happy Norfolk Terrier
The Coat King works a treat on our dog. She is looking so much smarter and I am sure more comfortable.This item strips the coat on the back & sides far easier than a stripping knife. She seems to like it, or at least endures it, without a grooming table. I think I will have to use a more conventional stripping knife and scissors on the head & the undercarriage. I would heartily recommend the Mars Coat King, I can see it saving me a fortune in grooming bills but would suggest any buyer investigate which model is best for their breed of dog. Different models have other numbers of blades,spacing & possibly blade size (I am not sure about the blade size). Some have wooden handles but I can't see any advantage over this plastic-handled one .The "Fine 12" was definitely the one for the main bits of a Norfolk Terrier. The blades on this model are replaceable but at a price similar to this Amazon price for the complete product.

Quality tool
This will do an excellent job of thinning out overly thick dog's coat or stripping the wirey coated dogs. The tool holds the hair that has been stripped so you can just pop the hair into the bin and it doesn't go everywhere. It wasn't quite the right thing for my dog who has a fine single curly coat; it didn't do anything bad to the fur, but my dog's hair needs clipping. I thought this tool might do a similar job as clipping but it doesn't; however it's still a very good tool for the right coat.

Stripping easier
Mars Coat King always does the job, not cheap but good. I still have to use a stripping knife at least once or twice a year on my Dandies if I want a show coat.

Brilliant piece of Equipment
Ideal for our two border terriers and even used it effectively on our Deerhound lurcher. Saves aching and sore fingers, if used to hand stripping. Excellent product backed by excellent service/delivery.

excellent for thick coated dogs
They don't like it but I do- does a better job than just a brush and combe. Only once a week - not every day
