This product was easy to use and turned out nicely. We used a satin polyurethane over the top and the color stayed the same. When I first opened this product I was really excited that they sent a sample tube, choosing a color can be hard and the color itself can change depending on the type of wood etc. I used the sample color, as shown in the photo on the right side of the piece of wood, and was very displeased! I had ordered the pale pink color and this was a bright pink color! I went through the mental turmoil of deciding what to do. Go with it? Send it back? After a while I looked at all the products in the box again and realized they sent the wrong sample color. The sample they sent was Rosy Pink and the color I ordered, and received, was Pastel Pink (shown on the left side of the board). So the idea of a sample is nice, getting the wrong sample - not so helpful! Anyway, problem solved, as I had in fact received the color I was hoping for. And it turned out very nicely! I’m not taking off any stars because I understand that mistakes can happen and the end result was perfect. I would definitely order another color if I turn out to need one.

So happy to have found this company! I made the mistake of buying the big brand from the box store and instantly regretted it- smelled horrible and instant headache! I tried to off gas it, but it was too bad so we are making a better decision! Ordered the walnut and very happy with the color! We try to live low tox with two little girls in our home and are mindful about what we bring in the home. I needed a stain for our laundry room shelves, and this stain is beautiful, easily applied, and literally no smell. Opened it up and did the first coat tonight and truly obsessed. The packaging is also so smart. Very happy customer! :)

Very happy with this stain. The customer service was also exceptional. We used the stain to refinish our dining room table, chairs, and a bench. The color took nicely. It has been several months now and it is looking vibrant -- just what we wanted. We tried several colors before finding the one we wanted. The company rep was super friendly and helpful. They sent us some small samples quickly when we needed them. I would recommend this product and company to anyone. One of the most important issues to us was that we wanted stain that was not loaded with harmful chemicals and filled our house with stink while working with it -- this stain was perfect -- easy clean up, almost no smell when applying (smelled like water), and quick drying. We feel good knowing our little girls are eating and living on surfaces without toxic chemicals. It would have been faster to find stain at the local hardware store, perhaps, but this stain was well worth it. Excellent product. Excellent surface. Life friendly.

But that's just not true. Maybe their noses don't work. Table I stained months ago still smells like this stain. Smells less when it's going on / wet, but more when it dries, and yeah.. it doesn't go away. Update: More months later. Still smells the same. These companies need to hire someone with a good nose who can tell them when their products smell or not. Sometimes people don't know when their noses don't work well. You don't know what you don't know.. you know?

Using color #95, Concerta, I stained two pieces, a International Concepts Solano Sofa Server Table and a International Concepts Bombay Media Center both made from solid unfinished parawood. Unfinished the parawood looks like pine and stained like pine. Based on the product description I was expecting a more transparent stain. One coat was taken up almost completely by the wood leaving a streaky look so I followed with a second, wiping up the excess with an old cotton sock. Wearing the sock on my hand I was able to rub the second coat uniform. The color seems true to the picture. After the stain was completely dry I oiled both pieces with coconut oil. There were NO fumes. This was greatly appreciated as was the easy cleanup. Overall a good expereince.

I recently bought a major brand stain for a small restaining project and though I am sure people who work with that brand say it works well, I could not stand it...I smelled it for a whole month on the furniture. That is with letting it all air out on a balcony for weeks! I HAD to find a LOW VOC stain, but my local hardware store said they don't carry them because of quality, so I ordered here. It came faster then expected and I used it today to my delight. I do not see any quality issue-it works well and had NO SMELL! I got some on my skin and it didn't irritate me and washed fairly easily. The packaging was eco-friendly, small and there was a free sample inside of another product. Great company that I wish the best to. P.S. The LAVA color is beautiful, though I wish it was almost as red as the fluid is when applied and dried.

Lovely tone, it came out just the color I expected but even a bit richer. I like that the box it comes in is cardboard which reduces plastic with just a thinner plastic pouch holding the stain itself. Mixes well, goes in and absorbs really nicely. I stored a mixed portion overnight (job took 2 days) in the mixing bucket with just some plastic over it and it preserved perfectly. I put it on with a car washing brush and a cheapo paint brush for the edges and rails and that worked fine. Five months in and the color is still looking deep and beautiful. Great environmentally conscious stain product that really does a wonderful job! Highly recommend!
