Well.... Hello all, unfortunately but fortunately for those that will see this message. DO NOT USE the metal water tap or w.e. it's technically called. With the ball that tells you the level of the filtered water. My child and I were drinking water with this system using it. Only to find out a month or so later that it has corroded on the inside. Like when you throw a dime in a wishing well and it turns blue. That is what we were ingesting. Use the plastic one it comes with or buy your own and use it. Honestly the seller should have used/tested their own product for a month or so. Quite frankly I'm irritated this product is even on the market(upgraded water tap) Id like to know the testing that was done prior to being put onto the market . How many other people than my child and myself were/ARE dinking it. The blue stuff on my finger is what was in our water and if your using that metal tap I'm sure you are as well. Also one of the black filters received (bought separately) was broke in half. On top of that the 5;5 gallon bags I was storing water in are about to be tossed out. You can actually see a color difference between the metal (tan tinted water) vs plastic (drinkable (minus the plastic leach/bleed)) water taps. Something needs to be done about this problem.

Great alternative to the Berkey. Love the color. Worth the purchase.

We purchased this filter with high hopes of lowering the TDS level of our drinking water. It was great from the very beginning, and TDS was 30-50 mg/L. But after 2-3 days of using the TDS filter the water returned to its original level ( 250-300 mg/L) in addition to a really strong and very unpleasant fish odor from our water. The company representative was very attentive and supportive and sent us a second set of TDS filters. Unfortunately – it was the same result – 3 days later, and the water smelled like an old fish tank with no benefits for TDS level. We like the main filter overall and appreciate great customer service but TDS filters are totally unreliable. Since we still need some solution for the hard water, we must look for other solutions.

The first couple of weeks there was a strong metallic taste in the water but now it's fine. I love not having to purchase water at the store. I cook a lot and I don't like using tap water in my food. I can now enjoy fresh water for drinking and cooking all the time.

We bought this water filter system to take with us on vacation. Within the first week the water started smelling fishy. After reading other reviews the smell is coming from the TDS filters. I emailed the company and they responded very quickly and sent new TDS filters but within a couple of days of putting in the new filters it started smelling fishy again. I emailed the company again but no response from them this time.
