Monopoly - Playstation 3

I've read several reviews with mistaken details about the game. These are answers that i would have liked before i bought the game.First of all, you CAN play up to 4 people with just one controller. You have that option in the menu. You simply pass the one controller to the next players. I almost bought 2 more controllers because i wanted 4 people to be able to play. I'm glad i waited.Also, another reviewer wrote he was annoyed that if you played a one-player game, you had to play against 3 CPU opponents. In other words, each game had to have 4 players, whether they were CPU or a real person. That's not true either. If you want to play a 1-player game, you can cancel CPU players 3 and 4 and just play with one CPU opponent.As far as fun, i give this game 3 stars. I find that the game rolling the dice for you takes a lot of fun out of the game. In the board game, you control your roll. Sure, it's random, but least it's you who threw the dice. In this game, you hit X. As i was playing, i was imagining that my friends would rather play the board game. BUT, it's too soon to tell. I will try it out on them and check out their reaction.Graphics are good and the game boards are pretty cool. It's just not the "party" game i thought it would be.

This game is pretty fun and much easier then dealing with the board game, counting money, dealing out cards. I give it 4 stars for a few reasons: narrations and the background music are repetitive and make you want to slap someone after a while. Also, you can't speed up the turns, which I would like to do for the AI. Just let me know what happens, I don't want to watch the game count out all the movements on the board. You could spend as much time playing this as the real monopoly!I like the options to unlock boards (although that does nothing to change the game) and the options to select different game plays to shorten the game.Another reason this game has 4 stars is because it causes way too many arguments over if we should select the option that you win money when you land on the free space. You should totally get the money!

If you are looking to play classic monopoly on your ps3 and have a some different boards to play on, this is perfect for you. My girlfriend and I have played multiple time and it has been great. The only real problems we have found is the game requires you always either buy or auction your property and we can not seem to find a way to be able to simply decline the property. Also when buying houses and mortgaging properties the controls are alittle awkward.If you are looking for a new spin on a classic, this is not the game for you. It has a version of monopoly that has mini games that go along with it, but I found most of the mini games to be awkward to play and not all that fun.

This is a good monopoly game. Customized and select able house rules are good. Choices exist for auctions and such that if you want a classic long drawn out game you can have it and if you want a quick 30 minute game you can have that too. Great for parties and great for nostalgia. lots of different boards and such to keep it fresh and different. That is not to say that monopoly ever gets boring, not for me anyway :) Well ok, everyone's unoriginal reaction to my winning gets boring, but i won't fault the video game designers on that point :)

I liked that I could play with just tin heads or I can play with others. I liked the various options and the boards that are available

Fun game. Plays faster than the board game. We never played the board game with mortgage rules and rather borrowed from the bank which lead to long drawn out games. Playing on the PS3 with the mortgage rules actually makes for faster and fun games. I wish you could fast forward any computer players and that the host either had more to his vocabulary or that you could fast forward him as it's repetitive. Overall a reasonable fun game.

This game has all the fun of the board game without the slowness of paper money, property cards, and remembering to ask for rent. The mini-games are not my strong suit but still fun. There is a way to play without money (I forget the name) too. You pay in properties instead of money. Playing this way is just as fun as the regular way.I would recommend this game to Monopoly lovers and PS3 lovers alike.

The game came in great condition and still working fine.

Still A Great Game, But The Old Guy Continuously Hanging Around The Board...And Not Shutting Up, Gets Annoying. Was Also Hoping This Was The Street Edition Of These Varying Cities. Not Sure If It Exists In The Video Game Version.

this game was too similar to earlier versions for me.

The game does not work. With the error code 80010514. First time playing it since it was shipped. Dissapointed.
