Timorn Analog Stick Cap Circle Pad Replacement 3D Joystick Cover for New 3DS / 3DS / 3DSLL / 3DSXL / 2DS Controller (Dark Gray)

I was initially skeptical to buy these as many others mentioned they were smaller than the original. However, once I had the new analog sticks in hand (it came with two) I was immediately relieved. It has a rubbery but slightly smoother texture than the OEM analog sticks. Regarding the size, it is barely smaller which still allows it to function identically to the original. Another worry I had when I initially bought these sourced from another review saying that they used isopropyl alcohol to clean them and they immediately deteriorated. I can safely report that this is not the case as I tried cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip. It cleaned and dried as expected. I'd imagine that if you rubbed hard enough that it would damage the stick but I assume that gentle cleaning wouldn't. I'd highly recommend getting these and finding a video on how to replace it on your device. Using these on a 2DS system was a pretty simple process.

Works great

As headline says, the thumbstick is just a tad smaller than the original, but I actually kind of prefer it that way! Feels nice and is easy to move around. Installation is also very easy and beginner friendly, just take it slow and you won't screw anything up.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to just snap these in like Lego pieces and it requires some confidence in tiny screwdrivers and tiny screws (along with a little bit of awareness of what not to touch electronically lol). However, don't let that discourage you. This is a pretty easy install. There are videos online on how to do it on YouTube. My Nintendo 3DS XL and a log stick broke very early on and they did not sell these type of replacements or at least not so easily available to me. At one point I had literally glued on a penny to use as the cap of the thumbstick and then some mismatched rubber circle as well. This is about 8 years of playing like this, and I finally bought the replacement now because I wanted to display it alongside my other handheld consoles. Now I just want to play it again lol. I like that it comes with two of these and I can't really complain. Honestly. Seems like a direct replacement and feels right as well.

The joystick fits and works perfectly. It is very easy to install. The only "issue" I would mention is that the feel is not rubbery but a smooth matte instead. Also, the material looks like it will tend to peel over time. Nevertheless, I would recommend it as a decent replacement.

Fit perfect and felt close to the original

Smaller than OEM, and a single plastic piece as opposed to the rubber coated plastic shown in the picture. Look elsewhere.

The quality is questionable, there’s no rubber so that was a surprise. It’s honestly fine but I recommend finding one with rubber

Good replacement

Can't say much but does exactly what it says on the tin! Straight out the packet and applied on the analog sticks and it worked!

Purchased to repair my new 3ds xl after the original joystick cap wore out. Matched the dimensions of the original perfectly and the cover material feels even better than the original in my opinion.

My original review disappeared, this was an excellent fit I tried to provide a picture but it wouldnt let me, it wont feel the same but you can hardly tell the difference it was a wonderful replacement to my sisters 3ds which I repaired by myself!!

Decent replacement circle pad replacement - follow one of many YouTube videos to learn how to replace. It does require a small screwdriver (the type used to tighten glasses will do) and care following along to the instructions. But once you get it installed it feels decent but not quite the same as the original circle pad. You get 2 here so good value.
