This is a quality bag and it features a built in zip lock. It’s actually at the bottom. So you fill the other end (I use these for nuts and spices), then vacuum seal. When you need them, pull out of the freezer and you can tear the top off near the zip lock size and the zip lock is reusable as you go through the nuts and spices. Really good value, seals perfectly, very light. Great design. nice - from Nesco too!

Love them. They are a nice size for the bulk of what we do. I like the zipper part as its very handy and saves a lot of time. We use these to store items like sliced meat where we will only use a portion of the contents and then seal them back up. Before these we would have to thaw out the contents and then transfer all the connects into a new zip lock type bag. Now it much simpler as we can skip that step and the bag needed to do it. These are nicely made bags that seem to seal well. They are a convenient size and easy to work with. I'll be buying more!

I wish that the manufacturer made two tweaks to the packaging. (1) have a wider opening for filling and (2) have an indicator as to "Full" to know where the max capacity is for the vacuum sealer to work. I was making soup pouches and had a hard time to ensure that (a) each pouch was filled the same, (b) that the pouches were not overfilled so that the Nesco Vacuum sealer would be able to properly seal the pouches.
