Great alternative to adding a mobile internet only line.
Very nice and reliable. Just popped in my phone sim with data and it worked right away. Must charge every night when I get home. Speeds capped at 150MBps. Enough for road trips and kids are connected to streaming HD videos

POWERFUL VALUE!!
Works great with Verizon. Great for those who are on the road a lot and can’t quite rely on hotel internet. Speeds are entirely dependent on the area. I bought this and used it first in the Scranton-Wilkes Barre PA area, and was seeing speeds from anywhere from 20-60 mbps. When I used it in the Benton harbor MI area, I was seeing a bit more (both had full bars of signal). Ping on this during games is SIGNIFICANTLY better than on hotel WiFi. You can also use this unit as a repeater. Gl.iNet sells a dedicated pocket router that acts as a repeater and WAN, that isn’t all that much cheaper than just getting this, so the value for money on this is pretty great. I use a generic network switch to get more ports and it works great. BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN THE IMEI OF THE ROUTER BEFORE YOU CHANGE IT IN CASE YOU NEED IT AGAIN. The “app” that this uses is very powerful, but could be confusing to those that are new to networking terms and protocols. WOULDN’T recommend to beginners, or those who can’t follow a guide. There’s a huge community on these, but they all speak assuming you already know the basics.

A fully featured travel router - great!!
I got this to have wifi over cell service in foreign countries but have not yet tested that out. I have used it here in USA to make sure it works and keep the firmware updated. The unit is very slow to initialize but once running seems speedy enough (for 4G). The inbuilt battery makes this a little heavy (approx 2 lbs) but the battery can be used to boost other devices in addition to powering the router. Run time on battery will vary, I don't have a number for that but have tested it for nearly an hour without trouble. It can be charged while in use. If your hotel room has a network jack you can use this unit to route through it. All routing can be done as a firewalling router - a feature I demand - and thus presents only a single device to your hosts network. Firmware updates occur frequently and I believe are based on DD-WRT code base, I see new patches every month. A nice feature is that it can link onto the host network utilizing a VPN tunnel so your traffic is not visible on the host network, and multiple devices can use the VPN transparently. It's a well thought out unit and seems well supported. I heartily recommend it if you have a need for a flexible travel router.

Superb
An excellent router and modem. My SIM card didn’t work at first, but I read the instructions and entered the correct APN and voila, it works like a charm. I love the WireGuard vpn feature.

extremely meh
Unfortunately, this beast of a unit is a worse performer than the 5 year old jetpack my carrier provides. It is slow to connect after cold boot, runs hot even on "standby" mode, nor does the battery survive longer than a few hours (again, even on "standby" mode with no clients connected to wifi, only 5ghz radio on). The oled is one of those small arduino hobbyist displays, the whole thing feels undercooked. I do enjoy my other GL travel routers, though

Not for digital nomad
I bought this to embark my digital nomad expedition. Unfortunately, after a year of using this around the world, I find the Mudi V2 heavily bottlenecked by its outdated SoC chip which really tank its internet performance. It does everything so poorly especially in the area it is designed for. The unit is also pretty large and with relatively poor battery life. A hotspot off your cheap used android and maybe tether to your Slate for VPN access is far easier to setup and offer way more reliable connection. You can also get a used Pixel 5G for less than the price of Mudi with battery last twice as long. GL-inet has a lot of good offerings, sadly this one isn't it.

Great Portal Wi-Fi Hotspot for Travel or just for roaming internet in general...
The GL.iNet GL-E750V2 (MUDI) portable Wi-Fi hotspot is an affordable option for roaming internet. Battery life is fantastic! Setup instructions could have been better, but for someone with lots of networking experience, it should present too much difficulty. The GL.iNET GL-E750V2 (MUDI) supports a physical eSIM that can host multiple profiles, which is makes it a good choice for those who might also want to use it for internet service while traveling.

Great product for simple or very advanced use cases
First, this product is great. That said, if you are not comfortable learning new things it might be a bit harder to use. It covers dozens of options from just LTE / Wired internet access point, being a bridge to hotel and plane networks, to LTE backup for home networks. If you think it isnt working for your use case, you are probably doing it wrong. The ability to add extra plugins from openwrt is awesome and the 7k battery storage is nice. This replaced an LTE modem _and_ my hootoo travel hub at the same time. Normal use cases: cell signal for internet in GL -> all your devices (set in router mode). Works great for both wifi connections and wired ones. hotel or airplane internet -> GL -> all your devices (set in repeater mode). You connect GL to plane or hotel, you connect all your devices to GL. Advanced cases: cell signal for internet in GL as fall back to normal internet (Cable, fiber, etc) -> home router. Works out the box with unifi wired internet into GL as Access point -> wifi for all your devices rv with skylink + GL -> wifi to all devices on the move. (failover or loadbalancing)

Ottimo MA attenzione
Veramente ottimo, funziona perfettamente con TIM. Unico punto, devi sapere cosa stai facendo e cosa stai comprando, non è plug and play.

nothing else out there like this
it’s pretty slow to start up, the proprietary adaptor for ethernet is annoying, even set up from an iphone hotspot can take a bit of work to get it going buy having the vpn and storage is pretty handy design wise it’s slippery as hell and will get scratched up a rubber base or rubber feet would really perfect an already great product 5 stars cos it’s better than the nighthawk m1 i replaced it with and isn’t obscenely expensive
