A Hip hop classic!
Get Rich or Die Tryin’ isn’t just an album — it’s a moment in music history. From the opening track to the iconic In Da Club, 50 Cent came out swinging with a debut that’s gritty, confident, and endlessly replayable. The production is top-tier, blending hard-hitting beats with hooks that stick in your head for days. What makes this record stand out is its balance — street authenticity mixed with undeniable mainstream appeal. Songs like Many Men show raw vulnerability, while others bring pure swagger. Over 20 years later, it still feels fresh, which says everything about its impact and quality.

A touch of class
I have been sitting infront of my computer now for about 15 minutes trying to think of an opening statement to this album but i don't believe words can do this justice but i will try anyway. Not since Biggies "ready to die" dropped have i heard so much hype about a rapper from the streets of new york. The hype for this album is well justified and on the evidence of this album I think 50 cent will be around for a long time to come. To compare this album to biggies first is unfair as this isnt 50 cents first album release and the style of the album is diferent which is a testiment to how production in hip-hop has changed in the last 8 years. The production on this album is slick and matches 50 cent's lyrical style perfectly, The way i believe it manages this is by not relying to heavily on one producer but by letting alot of producers giving their own styles to individual tracks this means that you avoid the albums production becoming tired and sounding the same and believe me every track on this album sounds fresh. Contributions on this albums come from some great names which include Eminem, Nate Dogg and Dr Dre who although doesnt rap on this he did produce the first single from the album "In da club" which is the best track i have heard since N.O.R.E.'s Nothin'. But the real reason for you buying this album is to hear true lyrical genius at work. Normally i would try and pick out the bright spots on the album but to do this i would have to find a bad track to seperate the good ones from which i cant... This album has everything including a bit of beef with Ja-rule (always good to hear). Not bad for a man who was shot many times in the legs and in the cheek. BUY THIS YOU WOULD BE MAD NOT TO! * source from the Westwood show discussing the 50 cent album launch in the UK
