First impression: This is not a heavy knife. I don't have my scale handy but looking up a review where they did weigh it I'm not surprised that it was only 5.5 oz. - definitely not 8.8 as the current Amazon listing says. It's obviously a big knife so the weight is also evenly distributed but the ergos are quite good, I can open with the thumb as well as reverse flick easily with the smooth action - drops shut. It's my first OKnife and I'm very satisfied with the first impression and will update if anything comes up. It comes with a horizontal pouch with a velcro closure and a velcro patch with a picture of the bird on the knife- not sure if they believe people will want to advertise for them but whatever it's a nice toy maybe. If it's still on the half off sale I say it's a good buy. Edit: The pocket clip can only be carried one way, there's plenty of room on the scales to make it a four way carry so that's a minor con. They also could have easily put a lanyard hold in this. Also there could be more choil for sharpening.

Seems well built

I really like the compound grind on the blade. I would have liked a thicker handle but the texture on the scale works fine. Very sharp right out of the box!
