Universal fit
I bought this when a “professional” heating engineer said he could not clean my magnetic heating system filter as he didn’t have the correct spanner. My filter was not supplied with one. I can’t believe he didn’t have one of these or something similar. I haven’t used the engineer again. It works and opens the lid of the filter, albeit it caused some minor damage to the plastic lid whilst gripping it as it’s universal and thus not a perfect fit. This is entirely acceptable and does not prevent the lid being opened further times. I am happy with it although it was expensive for my personal use. I suggest this would be a good investment for a heating engineer.

Inexpensive tool for use during boiler service

Does not work on all boiler filters
Just used it on a 2 year old Magnaclean and it would nit badge. I used the Magnaclean spanner and it opened straight away. It did open couple of others bit would not rely on it. Get some Magnaclean spanners
