Fantastic

We loved it - and that includes my daughter who can be very critical. Liked the characters. Thrilled with the plot. Laughed at the humour. Enjoyed the twists. The 3D made it all the more enjoyable. Have seen some 3D films that was a waste of money, but this one was more than worth it. Looking forward to viewing the many extras on it.

For a Pixar movie, this isn't one of their best. Fortunately, with a back catalogue that includes the Toy Story trilogy, Up, The Incredibles and A Bug's Life, this isn't as great a criticism as it might be. When released in the cinema, some parents were concerned about the scarier scenes involving the bears but my younger daughter was more concerned by the mother-daughter arguments. The 3D conversion works fine, though it does make the film darker and mute the vibrant colours of the computer-generated Scottish countryside, so the 2D Blu-Ray version is the one we prefer.

Bought this so we can watch anytime. My kid lived this movie.

Who doesn't like a good animation. This is a fab film for adults and children alike so would highly recommend for all ages, though the bear maybe a little frightening for small children. My daughter wonders around the house now speaking Scottish at me!!

I’m a bit confused as to why my dvd will not work on my DVD player and my television says ‘this disc cannot work on this device as it’s imported from a different region’ so unless someone can help me then I’ll just have to send it back !! I’ve never had this problem before with my dvds and was looking forward to watching this film 🤦🏻‍♀️

Amazing visuals of the Scotland highlands. Great humor a bit similar to the style of How To Train Your Dragon. The story is a simple one involving a head strong princess who wants to make up her own mind as to who to marry and wants to change her mothers traditional ideas. Without spoiling it too much her mother changes literally into some other animal and it is this that takes up the bulk of the story. Probably the best 3d animated picture the story could have been a bit more involved but fun anyway and really love it in my 3d collection.

Although Brave was considered a bit of a flop our house still thinks it's beautiful movie. Add in the 3D and Brave becomes magical. Absolutely recommend for part of you're Blu-ray collection.

Me gusta la película por si imagen, su realismo de los escenarios, es divertida y la música es genial, lastima que canten durante la peli para mi eso la estropea, recomiendo mirar como se hizo, ya que es entonces cuando te das cuenta del trabajo que ha supuesto hacer la película.

Intanto devo dire che, come al solito, non capisco certe logiche sui nomi, perché chiamarlo “Ribelle (The Brave)”? Non potevano lasciarlo semplicemente come “Brave” e magari sottotitolarlo Ribelle? Vabbè, certi colpi di fantasia da markettari non riuscirò mai a capirli. Parliado del film certamente rappresenta l’ennesima pietra miliare nella storia dell’animazione digitale. Il film è tecnicamente ineccepibile, le ambientazioni eccelse, i personaggi azzeccati e ben fatti, per non parlare poi dei capelli di Merida, la protagonista, che sono una vera e propria opera d’arte, per la loro dinamicità, complessità e tonalità. Da questo punto di vista c’è poco da lamentarsi, se non, giusto per fare i precisini, una eccessiva gommosità nella mano di Merida nella scena della gara con l’arco. La storia è buona, per evitare spoiler dirò solo che ovviamente, come per tutti gli altri prodotti Pixar gira attorno a qualche buon sentimento, insomma niente di nuovo ma comunque pregevole, anche perché la Pixar ha avuto la bravura di non anticipare assolutamente nulla della trama principale nei vari trailer. La parte peggiore della storia, specialmente per gli appassionati disney, è quella sensazione di deja-vu che ti lascia nel finale … ma non vi dirò perché ;-) Il film nel complesso è molto divertente ed è farcito di numerose scene simpatiche e piacevoli gag. Adesso veniamo alla parte dolente. Il tutto è estremamente dinamico, pure troppo. Infatti la vera pecca che posso attribuire a questo film è appunto la sua estrema dinamicità. Succedono cose, tante, troppe, tutte velocemente, una di seguito all’altra. Il ritmo è estremamente elevato, un cambio continuo, una corsa sfrenata, talmente elevato che i 100 minuti della sua durata letteralmente volano lasciandoti alla fine con un “già finito?” che ti pende dalle labbra. Ci sono pochissime scene che rallentino la trama, che spezzino questa dinamicità. In alcuni momenti topici in cui servirebbe fare una pausa nella narrazione per poter dare solennità ad un discorso, oppure ad approfondire un rapporto il tutto comunque è spezzettato, condito da elementi esterni, da piccole gag. Certamente non ci si può annoia, ma chiaramente tutta questa azione va a discapito soprattutto della liricità dei paesaggi e delle ambientazioni che vengono poco valorizzate da una scrittura troppo veloce. Per concludere con un giudizio complessivo, Ribelle è un film bello, molto bello ma che, almeno alla prima visione, manca dell’effetto “WOW” a cui la Pixar ci aveva abituato con i suoi predecessori. Io l'avevo già visto al cinema ma la versione blue ray lo rende nettamente migliore è più godibile.

Merida ist ein toller Film, der eine schöne Geschichte mit Happyend erzählt. Man taucht ein in eine Welt alter Mythen und gibt sich entspannt der Erzählung hin. Es gibt viele Szenen zum schmunzeln, er ist spannend u auch traurig. Es wird also alles geboten, was das Kinoherz begehrt. Der Film behandelt praktisch eine Zeitspanne von 2 Tagen und das Ende ist vorhersehbar. Dies möchte ich jedoch nicht als Nachteil aufführen, denn so mancher Streifen zeigt einem schon sehr früh das Ende auf. Trotzdem ist die Gestaltung sehr gelungen und das eintauchen in eine Welt, als man noch an die Natur und deren Götter glaubte, Sitten und Mythen, Rituale alter Zeiten, lassen einen ohne weiteres verzaubern. Zum Inhalt des Filmes möchte ich nichts weiter angeben, da ausreichend der Film beschrieben worden ist. Unzählige Rezessionen haben sich damit ausgiebigst beschäftigt. Ich möchte jedoch anführen, dass dieser Film mehr für Alt statt Jung geeignet ist. Die Geschichte ist teils düster, dunkel und nicht für 6 jährige erzählt. Warum einige Leute sich derart zerfleischen, verstehe ich allerdings nicht. Man darf nicht vergessen, das die FSK nur eine Empfehlung u keine Aussage in diesem Sinne ist. Jeder entscheidet selber, wer diesen Film sehen darf und wer nicht. Pixar u Disney haben lediglich eine Geschichte erschaffen, die einem gefällt oder auch nicht. In den Bewertungen sollte es daher um den Film gehen und nicht um erhobene Zeigefinger, die Maßregelungen erfahren. Jeder Mensch kann daher selber entscheiden und sollte hier nicht von Erziehung anderer belästigt werden. Wer mit FSK 6 ein Problem hat, kauft diesen Streifen nicht oder setzt sich mit der FSK selbst auseinander. Ok, weiter.... Der Hauptteil des Films ist etwas *erwachsen* erzählt. Er beschäftig sich mit den Ängsten der Menschen von früher, die sich Geschehnisse der Natur u deren Zauber, nicht erklären konnten. Wer also mit sehr kleinen Zuschauern unterwegs ist, sollte sich zeit für anschliessende fragen nehmen, etwas bewandert in Geschichte u Natur sein u Tempos zur Hand haben. Keine Angst, denn ein Epos an zeitgeschichtlicher Erzählung, ist es dann doch nicht :) Mit einem spidermann jedoch, der von Haus zu Haus schwingt und der Nachwuchs: cool sagt, ist dieser Film nicht zu vergleichen. Hier gibt es etwas mehr storry, die mehr als für nur cool reicht. Trotz allem, ein sehr gelungenes Werk, welches ich jedem empfehlen kann. Volle 5 Sterne vergebe ich!
