Perfect for sensory play
I bought this when it was super hot to help cool down my little one. It’s a lovely toy. Bright colours, not a bad price, a good size too and lots of fun. Made tummy time far more bearable!!

Good for tummy time
Originally bought for tummy time but currently being used as a slam mat for baby to slam his legs on to protect our neighbours from the banging as it seems to be his favourite thing to do at the moment! As a tummy time mat it was good fun, although baby did struggle to balance and if anything it maybe encourages rolling from front to back with a little bit of support from the inflatable.

Great for early tummy time
We started using the Baby Einstein Tummy Time Water Mat when our daughter was around 2.5 months old, and it’s been a lifesaver during tummy time sessions. Like many babies, she wasn’t thrilled about being on her tummy at first, but this toy made a big difference. The mat itself is soft and well-padded around the edges, so we can lay her down confidently. The bright colors and floating sea creatures immediately catch her attention — she loves watching them move around as she pats or pushes on the water surface. It's been amazing to watch her tracking movement and trying to grab the little shapes. Filling it up is super easy — just a bit of water in the center, and air around the outer ring. We use warm water so it’s not cold on her tummy. There have been no leaks at all, and it's easy to empty and dry out when we’re done. I love that it's BPA-free and folds flat, so we can take it when visiting grandparents or traveling. ✅ Pros: Colorful and visually stimulating Encourages head and neck strength during tummy time Soft, safe, and leak-proof Easy to set up and clean Portable and travel-friendly ❌ Cons: Baby might lose interest after 10–15 minutes (but that’s typical at this age) Needs to be placed on a firm, flat surface for best support This toy has helped make tummy time a more positive experience for both baby and parents. It’s a great developmental tool, especially in the early months. I’d definitely recommend it to other parents or as a baby shower gift

Not for short play durations
My baby is quite reluctant to do tummy time so I bought this in the hope it would encourage him to do so. This mat is large and when filled it is very heavy so you don’t want to be carrying it around the house. I struggled to get the shaped inside to separate, I’m not sure if there’s a knack to doing this, but baby wasn’t all that keen on it. I was reluctant to leave it on the floor when not in use as it is made of the same material as a lilo so is likely to puncture if pets got anywhere near it. It did look nice but as it was such a faff to fill and move around I’m not sure I’d buy it again

Tummy time hit!
Bought for my nephew for Christmas and was a HUGE hit. He seemed to enjoy the texture and gentle movement and began to be engaged by the moving shapes. He managed more tummy time than he has before and made a real effort to keep his head up when he got tired at the end! Parents were very happy :)
