Modern Tech for an Older Ride
If you have an older car that lacks built-in Bluetooth but has an auxiliary port, this UGREEN adapter is a total lifesaver. I was tired of messing with tangled aux cables every time I got in the car, and this tiny kit completely solved that problem. The setup is dead simple: you plug the USB end into a charger or your car's USB port for power, and the 3.5mm jack into your aux input. The Bluetooth 6.0 technology is noticeably faster than the older receivers I’ve tried. It pairs with my phone almost the instant I start the ignition, so my music is usually playing before I even pull out of the driveway. I haven't experienced any of that annoying "hiss" or background static that usually comes with cheap adapters; the sound quality is crisp and sounds just as good as a direct wired connection. The built-in microphone is another huge plus. I’ve taken several calls while driving, and people on the other end say I sound clear, which is impressive given the road noise in my car. It keeps things completely hands-free, making it much safer to navigate and take calls on the go. The cable itself is a coiled design, so it stays neat and doesn't clutter up my center console. If you want a reliable way to modernize your car's audio system without spending a fortune on a new head unit, this is the perfect solution. One thing that definitely gave me a laugh—and something you should be prepared for—is the startup voice. When you turn the car on, a voice with a very distinct Asian accent announces "power awn"

Do not hesitate, this is the one, best price and function.
Magnificent!!! To start with, I didn't get this for my car as I see most people commenting in the reviews. I got it for my home entertainment system. Long story short, I wanted spotify to fill the room with my surround sound. In case you don't know this already, tv apps and firestick apps absolutely suck for music. I can mirror my phone to the tv. But then I wanted to complicate life, as I usually do, by adding either video or picture slideshow for background on tv screen. Impossible set-up, both cannot function from the same device, or mirror properly. I have to separate both music and visual functions. And my surround sound is picky about splitting bluetooth between multiple devices, it's just a headache switching back and forth. In come UGreen to the rescue. $13 bucks!!! It works amazing, at whatever price but, the fact it's so cheap! HELL-YEAH. I plugged it into the 3.5 jack on the surround sound, plugged the usb end into a wall charger. Went to my phone, turned on bluetooth, picked UGreen and voila!!!! Instant pairing, no hassles, no buttons, no numerical codes. And the sound is as crips as it can be. All the while streaming 12k video background on the tv. Very happy, definitely recommend, will buy again if I ever need such another device.

Saved My Car Experience
This very simple device took my car experience from 0 to 100. My 2013 Honda CRV lacked Bluetooth for music, so before I bought this I was rocking the FM transmitter Bluetooth plug in my and it was honestly miserable, constantly disconnecting and overstepped. I bought this out of frustration and it was as simple as plugging it in and connecting on my phone. It immediately worked perfectly and the music quality was great. It sounded like native Bluetooth on a modern car, and had no issue. This plug is very compact and easily hide-able for a non intrusive setup especially if your jack and USB/DC adapter are nearby. My only issue so far has been phone calls. I'm not sure what the issue is exactly, but when on call it cuts in and out when driving. Not moving it works perfectly. Very weird. No regrets with this purchase, works excellently, and unbeatable for the price. Definitely recommend for older vehicles.

Perfect!
Update (10/30/2023): Samsung to the rescue! So I recently discovered that my Galaxy S20 has a routines feature where you can program the phone to automatically do certain tasks when certain conditions are met. So in this case I was able to use that to automatically play music on Spotify when my phone connects to this bluetooth device. So that basically solved the biggest gripe I had with this product. Even though it was my phone that fixed the issue and not the manufacturer of the device, I am still going to update this review to 5 stars because now I basically have no issues with it. Anyways, feel free to read the original review below. I love this thing! So much better than the previous two bluetooth adapters that I had in my car. I used to have a battery powered aux adapter and a cigarette lighter port powered FM radio adapter. The battery powered one sounded good but was so inconvenient because the battery would constantly die on me during car rides. I could keep it plugged in but then I'd have a cable dangling down from it which was annoying. Also because it had a battery, it was bigger and bulkier than it needed to be, which cluttered up my dashboard for no good reason. The FM adapter was a bit more convenient (no wires!) but it sounded terrible. The sound was tinny and full of static. Almost unusable because of that. And because my car's cigarette lighter is always powered on, even when the car is off, I had to unplug it and plug it back in every-time I used it or else risk killing my car battery. Not a big deal, but annoying enough that it caused me to rarely used it. This one solves basically every problem that my previous two adapters had. For one, it's powered by USB, so I don't have to worry about any batteries dying. Plus, I can power it by plugging it in to my car stereo's USB port which does power on and off with the car, so I don't have worry about plugging in and unplugging every time I get in and out of the car. Also, it has the form factor of basically just a cable, so it take up almost zero room on my dash. Super sleek and discrete! On top of that it connects to the stereo with an aux connection so it sounds fantastic and doesn't have any of that FM radio static. I even noticed that I don't have to crank up the volume on the stereo like I had to with my previous aux adapter. I guess since it was battery powered, it needed to cut back on the output to save battery life. There's one problem with this thing though, something that I feel is big enough to warrant taking off one star. The thing is that this doesn't have any buttons on it. No play, pause, fast forward, rewind, or anything like that. Understandable since it's so small and sleek that there wouldn't be any space on it for that. That's fine. They would have had to make it bigger to fit buttons on it, so I think that was a good call to not include buttons. BUT... one thing that would have made living without buttons so much easier is if it had auto play. It would have allowed me to hop in my car, the adapter would power on with my stereo that's powered on with the engine, the adapter would automatically connect, and the music would play on it's own without any user input. I wouldn't even have to think about it, it would just work. It does have auto-connect which is great, but no auto-play. Meaning I have to pull my phone out of my pocket, open the Spotify app, and hit play. Not a huge deal, but it's the one thing that stops this from being a truly hassle free experience where I don't have to fiddle around with anything to get music from my phone to my car stereo. If they changed that, this would easily be a five star product for me!

Microphone works far away from the person speaking!
There was one looming question that nobody could answer in the reviews. That is whether or not the microphone was effective down near the center console. So I took a chance and bought one of these. I plugged it into a USB adapter and plugged it directly into the cigarette lighter in the center console of my mid 2000s E class. It worked very well! I made a few Test phone calls and ask the person receiving the call if they could hear me OK. I was in a loud car wash with background noise intentionally when making the call. How much did my surprise, there was no problem with the microphone being that far away from my mouth. The other thing I noticed was quick connectivity. The audio that streamed from Spotify was beautiful audio quality. No degradation. The reason this does not get five stars is because of the annoying “power awrn” female Asian voice when power comes on. So annoying. Why couldn’t it just be a beep? So that’s only reason I’m giving it four stars. Otherwise it’s a very cheap and easy solution.

Does what I need it to and was cheap
Easy to pair, quick to connect, great sound quality. My car doesn’t have a USB plug where the AUX input is so I had to buy a separate cigarette power adapter, but other than that it was exactly what I needed. Super small and great value.

best, easiest, and cheapest bluetooth device!
i totally didn’t expect a wire to be so good as a bluetooth device. this thing is so compact that it takes up no space compared to other bluetooth options we saw. you literally just plug it in and it connects so fast, and as soon as you start your car it connects immediately. the volume and clarity of sound is better than what my wife had before. it’s crisp and loud. i love that it doesn’t need a battery or to be charged like other options out there. we did notice that it can be a little sensitive in our car if you move the wire, which can cause it to lose power for a second but then it immediately reconnects and goes back to normal. so if you don’t pull/touch it, it is just fine. so glad we found this, definitely worth the money especially compared to other options

Added Bluetooth to My Old Car Without Ripping Out the Stereo - Works Perfectly
I drive a 2012 Honda that has an aux port but no Bluetooth, which means I'd been using an aux cable to connect my phone for music. The problem was I'd have to plug and unplug it every time, the cable would get tangled, and phone calls were a disaster because I'd have to unplug the aux cable and use my phone speaker. I looked into getting a new car stereo installed but the quotes I got were like $300-500 which seemed ridiculous just to get Bluetooth. Found this Bluetooth adapter and it's been perfect. It plugs into the aux port and has a USB cable that plugs into your car's USB port or cigarette lighter adapter for power. Setup took maybe 2 minutes - plug it in, connect your phone via Bluetooth, done. Way easier than I expected. I keep it plugged into my aux port permanently now. The adapter itself is small and doesn't stick out awkwardly or get in the way. There's a clip on it so I clipped it to one of my air vents to keep it from dangling around. Looks clean and stays out of the way. The Bluetooth connection is super reliable. It automatically connects to my phone as soon as I start my car, no need to manually pair it every time. Takes maybe 5 seconds from starting the car to having music playing through my speakers. Way better than fumbling with an aux cable. Sound quality is honestly really good. I was worried it would sound compressed or tinny compared to a wired connection, but I genuinely can't tell the difference. Music sounds just as good as it did with the aux cable. No static, no cutting out, no weird artifacts. Just clean audio. The range is great too. I can leave my phone in the cup holder or even in my pocket and it works perfectly. No connection drops or interference. I've driven with this thing for probably 6 months now and haven't had a single issue with the connection cutting out. Phone calls work way better now. When a call comes in, the audio automatically switches from music to the call. I can talk hands-free through my car speakers and the built-in mic picks up my voice clearly. My girlfriend said I sound way better on calls now compared to when I was using my phone's speaker. The mic quality is actually impressive. I was skeptical about how well it would pick up my voice, but people on the other end say they can hear me perfectly fine even with the windows down or the AC running. The adapter has some kind of noise cancellation that works really well. One feature I really like is that it has physical buttons on it for volume and play/pause. So I can control my music without having to touch my phone while driving. Safer and more convenient. There's also a button to answer/end calls which is super handy. The USB power cable is a good length - probably like 3-4 feet. Long enough that I can route it neatly to my USB port without it being too short, but not so long that there's a bunch of excess cable flopping around. I tucked it along the side of my center console and you barely notice it. It supports multiple device connections which is nice. Both my phone and my girlfriend's phone are paired to it, so when she's driving my car she doesn't have to mess with disconnecting mine and pairing hers. It just works with whoever's phone is in the car. Battery life isn't an issue since it's powered by the car. It turns on when the car starts and turns off when you turn the car off. No need to charge it or worry about it dying at an inconvenient time. I've used this on road trips and it's been flawless. Hours of continuous music streaming without any issues. No overheating, no connection problems, just works consistently. I actually forget it's even there most of the time because it just seamlessly does its job. The build quality feels solid. It's made of plastic but doesn't feel cheap. The buttons have a good click to them and the ports are sturdy. I've plugged and unplugged things a bunch of times and it still feels tight and secure. For the price, this is hands down the best way to add Bluetooth to an older car. Way cheaper than a new stereo, no professional installation needed, and it works just as well as if Bluetooth was built into the car from the factory. Takes up minimal space and you can take it with you if you get a different car. My coworker saw this in my car and asked about it. He's got an older truck with the same setup - aux port but no Bluetooth. He ordered one and texted me like a week later saying it completely changed his driving experience. No more dealing with cables and his phone calls are way better now. If your car has an aux port and a USB port but no Bluetooth, this adapter is a no-brainer. Super easy to install, works flawlessly, sounds great, and costs a fraction of what you'd pay for a new stereo. I should've gotten one years ago.

Added Bluetooth to my 2013 Fiesta
Great bit of kit and easy to use. My 2013 mk7.5 Fiesta doesn’t have Bluetooth but does have a usb port and audio jack point. This clever bit of kit was installed in seconds, paired to my phone and playing music through the aux within a minute. It automatically connects every time I get back into the car and even has a little mic built in for hands free calls! It was a very inexpensive way of bringing my car up to date so well worth the investment.
