Years later: Thinking about gettign another. I like this light. It's small, works, does not break, and is enough to light a tree canopy covered trail on a rainy night with no moon. Cheap enough to have (I have three) multiple lights. Turn on one. Turn on two - one flashing forward for car traffic to say FO and one for the road. Turn on three for crazy bright hopelessly black trails and to keep those monsters in pitch black away. None have died in the years I've owned this and the oldest just now is starting weak battery. Previous review: The amount of light this is the right amount for a trail or road at pitch black to see road dangers (potholes, sticks, things that makes the bike go bump) and far enough ahead to see. The battery is good enough to last hours flashing than at least one hour on medium then high with enough light to make it back. On high it really does last more than an hour. The different modes really help. High, Medium and Low with a low slow flash and bright strobe setting when in traffic coming at you. I am not sure if this is really 800 lumens. Maybe. It is light enough to see at total dark on a bike trail totally tree covered, Pitch black. The high level strobe setting makes oncoming cars on a dark country highway notice you and slow down in enough time even though the car is going 60 mph. And they notice you in daylight on that strobe setting. This light is EXACTLY the same as the SarahSailor light.

Must have this for night time bike riding. I really enjoyed having this light on my bike. The light itself is relatively small and not intrusive. It charges via normal 5V usb. This means you can use any phone house, car, or portable charger to charge this thing up. If you going camping, just bring a portable charger and charging this bad boy when your done, and she will be ready for another ride. Also, the battery pack is really easy to take on and off. This light is super easy to get started with.Very bright, vehicles easily see me coming and stop. Exactly what I was looking for its a great light and I love the price. Other lights at this cost have nothing on this product. Highly recommend to every one who want to find a excellent product!

This light is very well made, except for the charging port (micro USB). It is very bright, and I love it. The construction is very solid. However, the charging port, which accommodates a micro USB cable, broke after 8 months of use. It is not as durable as it should be, and is a weak point of the light. So I cannot charge it any more, and cannot use the light. I sent a claim to the merchant on their website (BrightRoad), since this is advertised as having a 1-year guarantee, but never heard back from them. Customer support is not responsive. I bought 3 of these lights, and two of them are still working. I am disappointed by the customer service (or lack thereof). UPDATE on 11/23/2021: I was contacted by customer service, and they apologized for the delay in responding to my original claim for service. They offered to send me a free replacement light. It was shipped promptly (it arrived in 1 day!). I am very satisfied now with my replacement light, which works great! I have modified my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars, since I think that this light is fantastic.

This light was a great deal for me. I was looking for a light for my wheelchair to replace a $70 one. I only had for two years before it lost it's flashing modes and I wasn't going to wait for it to lose anything else. I go at night to my friends house and need to see where I am going plus need to be seen. This is great for that It is a lot brighter than the $70 one I had and it is mad of metal. Nice and sturdy, the plug has a nice rubber plug in it that fits snug. I can really see with this one. I have to be careful not to blind oncoming cars when I turn onto a sidewalk. I put my hand over it while I turn so I don't cause an accident. LOL It is not really made for my kind of use but sure am glad that they made this with the 360 turn. The only down side I have with this one is I am not so sure whether the plastic type strap is going to hold up. It is strapped onto my wheelchair right by my leg. So when I sit in my wheelchair I hit it all the time. If I were to turn the band around it would stick out past my armrest and hit things. So I will take a chance on it lasting by me hitting it all the time. It is worth every penny.

Great purchase! I looked at a cheaper headlight but I'm glad I forked over a little more money and bought this one. It charges very quickly and holds the charge for a long time (especially if you don't ride often in dark or dim conditions). It took just a couple minutes to mount and it's not hard to remove the cartridge from the mount if you're worried about it getting stolen (say, if you've parked your bike at the store). It's compact but powerful, too, and can operate as a small handheld flashlight in a pinch. The only thing I'd recommend is to make sure you cover the USB charging slot properly so moisture and dust don't compromise the unit. Very satisfied.

I bought this as a gift for Christmas for my husband. It mounted securely to his helmet, was really bright when we he tested it, but now three months later that it’s warmed up and he’s starting to ride again, the battery won’t charge. We’ve tried every last usb-c cord in our house, but no luck.

I purchased this light to use on my fat-tire mt. bike. I live in Alaska and it's dark all the time. I receive the light, perfect packaging & shipping. Plugged it in and charged it (nice green light tells me when it's finished; charged in about an hour). I mounted it and went riding the next day. It was snowing lightly, dark and 12F. I rode single-track in for 1.5 hours and still has light at the end of the ride (I had it on the 2nd highest lumens setting). The green light on top turns to flashing red when the light is getting low. I noticed the blinking and headed back to where I began, it took me about a half hour to get there and the light was still blinking, but was on. Super great! The woods were dark, very dark and because it was snowing I had to wear goggles. I picked my sun goggles and not my night goggles, so the goggles were tinted. This light was so bright, I could still see the trail just fine. Amazing! The light did slip a bit on my bars while going over the broken uneven trails, especially jumps. I think this is to be expected, next ride, I'm going to take a bit of hockey tape and secure the strap to my bars a bit better. Overall this light is perfect. I'm going to purchase a second one, just in case I run out of light sometime, but at an hour and a half, that's a great ride!!

Great light other than the battery life when used on a high setting. The light died on me 45 minutes into a two hr MTB race.
