MK Machining Scope Cap Set for Vortex Optics

Great price and quality nice to have easy to use

Fit perfect on my Vortex Cross Fire, even has Allen screws to make nice and tight at both ends.

I bought mk scope caps for my Athlon Cronus directly from their site. They look great and appear to be well made. However I broke the 56mm objective cap twice. To be fare I dropped my rifle on a difficult stalk which caused the first one to shatter when it hit a rock. Sent it back and mk sent me a new one Sweet. It held up fine for a couple trips to the desert in hot to warm conditions. Took it hunting for a week in cold weather the the front 56mm cover cracked in three spots, one spanning the length of the cap under normal use. It seems the plastic gets brittle in cold temperatures. In addition the caps make a very audible popping sound when you open them. So if you’re a hunter or a soldier where stealth is paramount then these are not going to work. If your only shooting at the range on warm days I suspect they will be fine.

Seems to be very nice caps! They sit close to the scope when opened, snap closed nicely, and fit perfectly. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the loud “POP” noise that it makes when you open them. I’ll really have to keep that in mind in the deer woods.
