Brilliant.
Cuts like slicing butter. I will be using these for my forest school, once I have raised the funds I will be getting more for the kids.

Good quality and robust - very easy to swap blades
I've been using this for three weeks and so far so good. The saw came with a blade for dry wood (top blade in picture) so purchased a extra blade for fresh wood (bottom blade in picture - notice the extra gaps between teeth which make all the difference on damp wood). The blades take a minute to swap and make a big difference - just tighten up before use. Make sure you use the right blade unless its the odd one off. Cut like butter so treat it with respect. The safety strip pulls down about 1/2 way so it is easy to slip on blade when no in use (not obvious at first). Use a little oil or WD40 to keep it clean and rust free.

Trees watch out!
With the wife having an opinion on just about everything that doesn't affect her, I needed a method of chopping down trees that requires little set up, is quiet and quick. I bought this beauty having read other reviews and chatting to some friends who backed up the positive view of Bahco products (although no one agrees how to pronounce it). My investigation lead me to purchase the 23-30 Raker Tooth blade in addition to the one supplied as the supplied blade is set for cutting dry wood and I need to chop down live (green) wood. I considered knocking a star off for the fact that I couldn't find a combination of saw with the blade I wanted to begin with, but I will need both blades eventually if I end up cutting up dry logs (so I have assumed the supplied blade will perform as well as the other one I bought). Before I bought this saw, I would have to use an old petrol chainsaw that my best friend has loaned me. Consequently, the wife would usually be out voicing her opinion as soon as she'd hear me starting the chainsaw. That in turn led to fewer trees being chopped down and me having to return to the house to watch some appalling American TV show about vampires. Now, I can offer her a cup of tea whilst she watches the telly, sneak out the backdoor to the shed to get the saw and tension it, come back inside to fill the teapot, then nip back out run down the garden chop down a tree and run back in time to pour the tea and deliver it. Sometimes I'm asked "What was that noise?" to which I respond that I've been splitting logs and I head back out to fetch a couple in whilst at the same time taking the saw back to the shed, de-tensioning it and giving it a clean. The wife has never noticed that the trees are getting thinner, but she is enjoying the extra firewood and light in to the garden. Fair play to her though, she noticed that it is hard work cutting logs with a bow saw so she bought me an electric chainsaw for my birthday and she's been cute enough not to buy an extension lead that would allow me to get down the garden with it. I have used this saw to chop down trees with trunks up to about 24" wide (the big ones have been in consultation with the wife) and whilst this does require a bit of effort it is well within the capability of the saw. I'm not a great fan of climbing trees with a petrol chainsaw so I prefer to take this up with me to thin branches out before felling the tree (or just to thin them). Using the bow saw is also a good bit of exercise. I usually chop the tree into movable chunks with the bow saw and then I cart them up to the drive to cut them and split them into logs for the fire. I do use the petrol chainsaw to chop up the bigger trees. I don't find a 'log splitting grenade' any more useful than a normal wedge (I've never managed to split a log in 4, but it does never get jammed). I also find a normal felling axe to be equally as efficient as a maul for splitting logs. A small hand axe is also required for chopping up kindling. The construction of the saw is first class. The tensioning mechanism is robust and the hand guard is strong enough to withstand the occasional impact it should receive and more.

Good value for the money paid
As a seven stone weakling I wanted a saw to cut down a couple of small trees - elder and lilac. Easy to handle (might be a bit big where space is an issue) and went through the wood with no problems at all. I think this was on offer when I bought it and it's well worth the money I paid for it. I've also used it saw up some logs for the fire, although so far nothing more than 8in in diameter. The blade seems to have worked fine on both green and dry wood.

Top notch piece of kit
Product is superb, excellent quality, I purchased the Bahco 10-24-51 Bowsaw and the Bahco 23-24 Raker Tooth Hp blade for 'wet' wood. If you're considering purchasing a cheaper product don't waste your money, this is a quality tool with a razor sharp blade, made cutting a breeze. The saw body itself is strong yet light weight, easy blade change with the benefit of being able to tension the blade. a very well made tool, like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

Quality saw
This saw is very effective. It cut through 12inch diameter tree, takes time and sweat but did not break. Highly recommended for cutting down medium size trees.

this is a great quality saw for under the seat of your truck/jeep - I have cleared fallen trees from the back roads many a time - It cuts good and has an excellent blade guard. Got trapped on a back road once by a 2 foot diameter fir tree - had not put my saw back in my truck at home - took three hour with concrete scraper sharpened by a chain saw file that luckily were in the back of the truck to get through.... never leave home without it!

I had previously purchased a Bahco saw designed for extended pole trimming of limbs, and was surprised at how well it worked. I had pressed it into use as a hand saw for downed limbs, and it was such a good saw that it worked well despite the fact that it was designed for a different purpose. I wanted a bow saw that was more ergonomic, and was so impressed with the previous Bahco that I bought their 21" bow saw, and it too, is excellent. Those Portuguese know how to build quality saws! The blade was properly tensioned when I received the saw. For a typical limb that's two inches in diameter, ten quick strokes and the cut is complete in about five seconds. The saw feels sturdy, but it's also light and nimble. For the limb trimming tasks I have, I'm glad I chose the 21" saw over its 24" bigger brother. About half of the limbs I need to saw are dry and the other half are green. Bahco offer blades optimized for each of these options. This saw apparently ships with the dry wood blade, but it did a great job on both dry and green wood. Both blade types are available as replacements. I should probably buy a replacement blade now to avoid not being able to find one later, and so I have a spare if needed, but I doubt I could find the replacement (or even remember I had bought it) a year later. My only minor nit to pick is the plastic blade protector. It seems cheaply implemented. It's adequate to the task, but it's difficult (possibly a bit dangerous) to install. I'd have gladly paid another dollar or two for a better blade protector, but the saw itself is just so nice that I didn't have it in me to ding them a star for the blade protector. On the other hand, I was completely blown away by the high quality ergonomic injection molded handle. It's almost luxuriously comfortable, with a very durable feel. The blade tension adjustment knob has a similar high quality feel.
