21st century tech for 20th century radios
If you've used old analog meters, you know old meters are big, can't be read in the dark, and are probably so out of tune after decades of banging around, they are hard to believe. This measures dead key power, swing, and peak output. It's small, backlight, super portable, and so much nicer than pulling out your old 3 analog meter rig that doesn't want to calibrate anymore.

Good for the price.
Pretty cool item for the price. Menu is very easy. TX readings matched my double needle MJF tuner. Battery holds charge for days. This little device definitely helped me align my base station. Definitely recommend of you're a DIY radio guy on a budget

Excellent small meter
This is great if you need a VSWR meter in the field (I do a lot of POTA w1ip). Normally I don't need a meter, but have been testing some new gear and wanted to see power out and if the built in tuner was handling things. The ONLY downside is that it needs an auto off. Battery goes dead when you leave it in your case, lol!

Nice and inexpensive
It works for 6m and hf. Worth the money.

Dead on Arrival - No Quality Testing
ZERO quality testing. My product would light up, but would not operate at all. The TX input was a direct short circuit. The Antenna Output connector was an open circuit. To see if this was a one-off problem, I have ordered a return/replacement and will test a second unit. Update: The replacement, second unit arrived today. Dead on arrival. Short-Circuit on both input and output. This manufacturer clearly is not using any quality controls, testing before shipping, or training on the assembly line. STAY AWAY!!

I so badly wanted this, but ...
Seemed like a perfect unit to put between transceiver and amplifier so to keep an eye on power output levels and not overdrive the amplifier. I did note from Day 1 it seemed to be optimistic reading peak levels. But I could let that go using average. Showed a perfect 1.0 SWR into the amp, which it should have. Also showed accurate SWR readings into antenna at 35 watts without amplifier. However, three weeks later, wth minimal time on the device at less than 1/3 it's rated power, it started causing substantial interference backfeeding into the transceiver- wasn't that way in the beginning. I spent the time to isolate the problem and unfortunately it was with this unit. The size, the display, the look were great. Hated to return it, but became unusable. I'll give an optimistic three stars just because of what could have been. Manufacturer needs to find the problem and upgrade what's necessary. I'd buy it again if the problem could be corrected.

Worth the cost.
I had a chance to use this today with both my President Mckinley ssb cb radio and my Radioddity QT40 10 meter radio. I have been looking for a meter that could give me a decent indication of the peak envelope power that my radios were putting out at the different levels I could set them at so that I could use them to drive an inexpensive amp without burning them up. I also wanted a meter to show swr for the 6m band. This meter even though it is very low cost, agrees pretty well with my friends bird to within a few watts on both ssb and am modulation. Pretty impressive for a $50 meter. The swr for cb also is very close to my Radio shack meter and Workman meter and Nanovna. I have only tried it on 10m and cb but I will be using it for my 6m radio soon. I have 2 other Surecom meters as well, 1 for cb and the other is for vhf/uhf and both of them have worked well for me. They seem to be a fairly new company but they appear to do good work. I would recommend. (Update): I contacted the seller because I had a question about the peak power mode. When you first turn the meter on it starts out in average power mode so it reads average power, then if you press the peak/avg button it changes to peak mode and a "p" appears on the screen, but if you press the button again the "p" stays but a "-" appears over the "p" and it doesn't say in the instructions what this means. The seller explained that this is peak hold mode so that the reading stays on the screen for a while so that you have time to see the reading and note it. I don't think you could beat this meter in value for the functions it offers. I'm impressed by both the meter and the responsiveness of the seller.
