He gained prominence through his Decca recording of Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and Charles Dutoit, which has been repeatedly singled out as the finest version available. It was the first-ever digital recording of the concerto and was hailed as, a magnificent triumph, by the Classical Music magazine. It was awarded a coveted rosette by the Penguin CD Guide. Carlos has helped Sir Paul McCartney in editing, notating and recording a concerto he is composing for guitar and orchestra. His 2012 album Magical Mystery Guitar Tour dedicated to music of The Beatles in Carlos own arrangements for solo guitar went to number one on the UK classical iTunes charts. Been a fan of Carlos for a while and his live shows are very rewarding. This is a great collection for music lovers and as an entry point to the classical guitar.
