Kiddu - 10 Gourmet Vanilla Beans for Baking - Whole Grade A Pods in a Resealable Pouch

I bought these a year ago to make some extract using around 400ml of 40% ABV vodka. I've just decanted it off the beans and I am VERY pleased with the result. The flavour is superb, as intense as the fancy (for me, anyway) Nielsen-Massey brand I buy, and for a LOT less cash. I'll be using these beans for a second batch as advised by a friend, and I'll also be buying another fresh batch to get another full-strength brew on the go ready for the end of next year. I can see this becoming an annual tradition. (The pic shows around 300ml of the finished extract.)

Super fresh, moist, good size, good amount of vanilla caviar. I add it to my black Indian loose tea jar for home made vanilla chai. Will order again if price remains affordable as these are lovely beans which is hard to find at this price.

I thought vanilla pods were only from Madagascar but not so. These are from Uganda and they are the best! A lovely note came with them explaining the family history and how they treated the pods with respect to keep them in perfect condition. And they are perfect - really plump and juicy, packed with seeds and full of flavour. This was my second order and I shall be ordering more in the future. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Lovely taste and flavour. Loads of seems and the packaging is great. Amazing value don’t be put off them at they are not Madagascan.

Update. I've just received my second order. The first batch of 30 beans weighed 154 grams I used 134 grams on extract and then decided to make 2 of the batches double fold, I ordered 10 more beans based on my previous experience. However the new beans are smaller and the 10 beans weigh 34 grams. I'm going to have to order more beans. Really impressed with these beans. Really plump, they were too long for the bottles I was going to use for extract as didn't want to cut them, so you'll need bottles than will take a 21.5 bean if you don't want to chop them up. Can't tell you how they taste as they're currently in about a litre of spirits, although they did smell fab.

Foe 10 years I have always made my vanilla extract with Madagascar beans. Never again, these are so much better. The moisture, smell and bean it's self is better. It takes my vanilla extract a year to make so I can not tell you the taste yet. If you go by moisture and smell it will be great.
