These are usually about £55 or more from the UK ham radio stores so £33.75 at Amazon was a steal. Bought to use with a Yaesu ft891 and icom 7300. Really good loud sound, no interference problems whatsoever in all modes at 100w. The speaker has a limited frequency range from 300 to 5000hz which is perfect for ssb and cw and reduces the unwanted noise. Solidly made. It has a noise suppression button on the top but the difference was only mildly noticeable. A good purchase at this price.

I found the sound quality much better than other speaker I had on before much richer sound.

It doesn't work. Bought to go with a UBC125XLT Bearcat to boost the volume. It reduces it! The radio, on it's own, is twice as loud. Also wasted a few £s getting a mono-stereo converter to see it that made a difference. It didn't.

Disappointed with the sound, expected voice output to be clearer but in this respect, it is no better than a normal speaker. Expected a custom made unit to have been better, especially given the price.

Good tone, compared to similar icom external speaker. Might take a good twist of volume to get some sound out of it, but it's crisp and accurate. I have louder external speakers but those sound terrible up loud. Handheld units might not have the output to drive it like headphones. Works well on gmrs and amateur radio mobile transmitters. I have bad hearing, most mobile unit speakers are muffled. Effective solution at a fair price. It doesn't feel heavy duty but it sounds better than it might appear. I've bought several different styles of these looking for a better one. This is the best sounding one under $20. Again, a headphone jack might not drive this loudly, it is an external speaker.

Works great. Using as an external speaker for my Yaesu FTM-510. Fits discreetly in the center console box on my 2018 Honda CRV. Sounds good, plenty audible even with the console closed. Adds depth to an otherwise tinny stock speaker setup to round out repeater chats in the car. Can't say the button on it does much but it does change the sound shape a small amount. Would definitely buy this again for a mobile ham radio. 73 N2SEC
