I recently purchased the Neewer 47.2" Parabolic Softbox, and it has significantly improved my photography setup. If you have ever struggled with setting up a parabolic softbox for 20 minutes and wish you could get your life back, this is the softbox for you! I am immediately in love with this Neewer Bowens mount compatible modifier. It is SO EASY to set up and break down the rods (no more WWE match with those rods!) and the diffusers and honeycomb attach seamlessly to the velcro. They aren't overly heavy, and I had no trouble attaching them to the Bowens mount. The quality is beautiful, and this may be my favorite Neewer purchase (and overall photography purchase,) to date. This is the fastest softbox I've ever set up and is worth every penny. I've purchased 2 of these now, but am going to come back for other sizes because the design is hard to beat. Highly recommend!

This is a terrific tool for making gorgeous soft light. I find it amusing that there is a note on the page that this is often returned due to its size. It's big and it's soft; precisely what is needed. As a key with a powerful fixture such as the CB300D, you can easily place at a distance for a two shot that will have no fall-off. With two used as a key and key-side fill, you can do gorgeous lighting on subjects. I use one with a CB300D as a side key, and a second one with a CB200D as the key-side fill. Suprisingly solid build. Seems like it will be durable. Everything fits precisely. Great product for the price or any price. I do recommend a stand with some beef for the combo.

I bought this to replace an old Photoflex softbox. It has worked well on my first uses. From reading reviews, I thought I would need a two-foot pipe wrench to click the rods in place. Not so, it took perhaps five pounds of force to set a rod. This is much, much easier to set up than old-school softboxes with four rods. I prefer this type over the umbrella folding type since it leaves the middle of the box unobstructed, though it might take a few seconds longer to set up. The inner and outer diffusers are easily attached by velcro, and the inner diffuser has an extra layer of fabric in the center, presumably to even-out the light. Egg-crate is also attached by velcro and fits well. The case is surprisingly OK, given most of these products skimp on them. Using this with a 500W Nanlite at 50% power, with both diffusers and the egg-crate installed, I get 100 foot-candles at 1 meter on axis. (Of course, you will get more light if you take off the egg-crate and inner diffuser - which might be fine for a general key light) Remember the rule of thumb that you should be as far from the subject as the size of the softbox if you want soft light.

Great product but very big lol. A little too big for my 12 x 14 room. It would be great for Large spaces!

I purchased this NS120P by mistake thinking it was the other parabolic softbox by NEEWER (SF120Q) that everyone has reviewed. However there are a couple key differences besides the price - this one is made with nylon fabric has a "Lightweight Nylon Alloy" bowens mount, whereas the SF is made from oxford cloth and has an aluminum alloy bowens mount. Also, the case is different on the NS which is just thin nylon and opens with a drawstring, as opposed to the SF which has a thick padded case with a zipper. I would say if you are looking for a bit of a more rugged/durable overall package, I would go with the SF with the oxford cloth and padded case, however if you are looking for the lightest option, the NS is the newer version of the two and is over a half pound lighter (more than that if you include the case as well) as well as $10 cheaper. As far as the performance, this is my very first softbox (just bought my first light, the amaron 300c two days ago!) so I really can't give an expert opinion, but out of the box, it's a great size for group filming and illuminates my warehouse style loft with 15' tall ceilings nicely! It also seems to have wider coverage than the aputure light dome ii (my only other reference), is quite light for the size, and is relatively easy to setup and tear down.

Ho preso questo NEEWER Softbox Parabolico da 85 cm per usarlo sia nelle fotografie che nei video e devo dire che sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. La prima cosa che mi ha colpito è il sistema di apertura e chiusura veloce. Si monta davvero in pochi secondi e non bisogna perdere tempo con aste complicate come nei softbox tradizionali. Per chi lavora spesso sul set o deve spostarsi è una comodità enorme. La qualità della luce è molto buona. Essendo parabolico crea una luce morbida ma comunque direzionata, perfetta per ritratti, interviste o riprese video. Con i diffusori inclusi si può regolare bene la morbidezza della luce e ottenere un risultato molto naturale sulla pelle. Molto utile anche la griglia a nido d’ape, che permette di controllare meglio la direzione della luce ed evitare che si disperda troppo nell’ambiente. Questo è particolarmente utile quando si lavora in spazi piccoli o quando si vuole illuminare solo il soggetto. Anche i materiali mi sembrano solidi e per il prezzo la qualità è assolutamente buona e dà una sensazione di affidabilità. In sintesi: montaggio e chiusura molto veloci luce morbida e uniforme diffusori e griglia inclusi molto utili buona qualità costruttiva ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo Per chi fa fotografia, video, interviste o ritratti, secondo me è un accessorio davvero valido e pratico da avere nel proprio setup.
