Great red dot for any pistol
Love Steiner and their quality, large window with crisp dot. Better option then an Acro P2, cheaper and still not made in China

Great enclosed emitter
Enjoying this MPS more than I thought I would. Enjoying the aesthetics of it, build quality is what you would expect. I purchased an aftermarket cap that houses (2) batteries, being a 1632 battery, I know I wonโt get RMR longevity. I saw some leaks of a gen 2 coming out, it now accepts a 2032 battery and slightly diff aesthetics. But I personally prefer this exact model. One more thing, the dot is crisp and sharp to my eyes.

Good alternative to the acro
I thought the window on this optic was small until I got an acro p2, it's not much bigger but I swear it's bigger. Really nice optic and I'd buy again.

Excellent Enclosed Red Dot
I purchased this on for my Glock 45 but moved it to my Prodigy when I purchased it. It worked great on the Glock and works great on the Prodigy. Put over 2K rounds through the Prodigy and 500 through the Glock and it has been rocked solid. I could not find a plate for the Prodigy so I used the Doctor Plate it came with. Have not had to change the battery yet. It was easy to sight in and it had been holding zero. All in All it is an excellent red dot. I also have the EPS, 509 and an Acro P2. This is one step down from the Acro. Would recommend it. One Year Later: I have been running this Red Dot for the past year. I finally got a dedicated plate for the Prodigy that fits this sight. It works great and sits a bit lower on the slide. I have but another 3000 rounds through the Prodigy and it is still rock solid with the new plate. I have most of the good enclosed optics, Acro P2, Trijicon RCR, Holosun 509 and EPS. The MPS is still my favorite. No lost zero, banging around in holsters it is excellent. All the other optics are good, but this is an excellent bang for the buck.

Great optic
Awesome dot but this was definitely an open box item because it was missing the screw driver and owners manual.

An Amazing Enclosed Red Dot Sight
It's about the same size(not footprint) as the Delta Point Pro so if you're used to that, this will be similar, they're both big optic blocks. This optic has an insanely low deck height. It has perfect co-witness with a FN 509. I have astigmatism and the 3.3MOA dot is very clear. Glass is high quality with no noticeable distortion. Optional auto-shutoff. It's nice to not have to worry about cleaning the emitter which can get fogged up, dirty and oily in a very hard to reach place which will cause an almost permanent blurry, linty, red dot. This fixes that issue completely. Rugged housing, nice tactile feedback on the MOA adjust and good brightness buttons. Works great with a Docter optic cut slide using the included mounting plate. A couple cons would be the overall size, no shakewake and thus needed to more frequency replace the battery. I didn't want to wait for the Acro P-2 and this satisfies that enclosed emitter itch, and as far I know this has a much more open, wider window. I'm not huge on Chinese made Holosun optics, so I can't comment on those as I don't buy them. It's unfortunate that this has an optional auto off and not any shake wake tech but that's about the only con for me. It is still working great after many, many rounds. Highly recommend!

Stiener MPS
Well, I still gave the product the 5 star its deserving of, but I purchased it used, saved over $125 from the next closest retailer, but Amazon shipped it out, did not even tape the old box back up, and the screws to attach the acro to doctor plate to a doctor plate are missing, whomever purchased this there was some sort of a small screwdriver in it, and the ends snapped off. Given what I saved its more of a nuisance than anything but its still poor on Amazon to send it out in a ripped open box. Now onto the product. I have had a 509t for over a year, and while I'm pretty fond of holosun, as I have many of their red dots on many of my other weapons, I have not had much luck with their pistol sights myself, and the 509t being enclosed I was hoping to get away from the issue with moisture ruining my rds, being enclosed its still gotten moisture inside and it affects me shooting on cold mornings. The Stiener has proven to be an absolute animal in this realm. Moving it to a more permanent duty pistol once I get an actual acro plate to attach to the slide cut, and will run it much harder and do a further review on it then.

Broke after 180rds
I really wanted to like the MPS, but I can't recommend it until Steiner fixes their mounting system. I took my MPS to the range for the first time today. It was attached to my CZ P-01 which is direct-milled with an ACRO footprint. I have an ACRO P2 which I've used on the CZ for approximately 1000rds with no issues. After firing 180rds with the MPS installed, the screw used to mount the MPS sheared off and it was launched directly at my face at a high rate of speed. Thankfully I was wearing safety glasses because the slide hit me straight in the nose and crown of my left eye. The glasses took the brunt of the impact, but I was left with a bruise on my forehead and a lasting headache. If you compare the MPS to the ACRO P2, you'll notice that the P2 has two big advantages to the way it mounts. The first is that the recoil lug on the ACRO stretches all the way across the body of the optic. It is an integral part of the body of the optic while the MPS' lug is only a small post in the center of the base. The second advantage is that the clamping plate on the ACRO has two additional reinforcing lugs that sit on either side of the interface with the main recoil lug. This provides additional strength to prevent the screw shearing exactly like it did on my MPS. I might trust an MPS on an AR15 or other rifle/pistol with a light recoil impulse, but there are some potentially serious issues that I discovered the hard way today. I wouldn't recommend using one of these on a pistol with a reciprocating slide until Steiner makes the mounting interface stronger.
