Digimon Card Game Starter Deck: Dragon of Courage

My grandson loved them! Hard to find!

Item came as brand new like it says on the ad, on time, well packaged and cared for. There were no damages in the exterior and interior of the item which I most definitely appreciated.For what it’s worth, it’s an ideal price and you’ll for sure get a bang for your buck. If you’re just a collector(like me), stick with just one, however if you play, either casually or competitively, then buying three of these will be worth it if you play your cards right. The card variety is incredible and they’re all legit, no fakes at all when buying from this seller. I most definitely recommend this seller.

Amazing looking cards

It was a starter deck. Not much to say for enthusiasts. Newcomers can learn very quickly with this set. It’s a great introduction to the game

If you know what you are looking for here and only care about the cards inside, go for it. No complaints about the cards themselves inside. Advice for players new to Digimon TCG - Be warned that in Digimon TCG, unlike some other TCGs, there is a big emphasis on this being a STARTER Deck. Do NOT think you are going to buy this, buy a couple card packs, spend some time throwing pack cards into the starter, and then be ready to play against other actual decks. In fact, I would straight up say DO NOT TRY TO MIX REGULAR CARD PACK CARDS INTO STARTER DECKS. Starter Decks such as this one have unique traits and mechanics exclusive to Starter Deck cards, regular Expansion cards will almost always be a waste of money if you try and force them to try and work in a Starter Deck. If you are looking for a PreCon Deck that is actually viable with Expansion cards, buy an Advanced Deck. Starter Decks in Digimon TCG are meant to sort of hold your hand a bit while you play, and all Digimon cards in this Deck are given the [ADVENTURE] trait and associated mechanics which allow you to play the game on a sort of "easy mode", not having to worry about matching colors and stuff in order to let you instead focus on learning more foundational stuff. Compared to playing with a normal deck, playing with a Starter Deck almost feels like cheating...but the trade off is that compared to non-Starter Decks, your higher level Digimon will feel a bit underpowered and their card effects will (compared to non-Starter high level Digimon) feel underwhelming. You CAN play and CAN win against non-Starter Decks, but odds are your opponent will be taking advantage of one or several different Type/ArchType mechanics and strategies that are bluntly on a different level from what you Starter Deck is built to do, especially if your opponents Deck is made of more recent Expansions. Digimon TCG is NOT a hard game to learn, I picked up on this much easier than when I first started playing Magic the Gathering many years ago. There is no Mana/Lands/Resources that you have to draw from the deck and put into play and keep track of, so no chance of a "Mana Flood" or "Mana Drought", every single card you draw from the deck is a card that you can use with little limitations. But this is a hard game to really master. In my opinion, if you are looking for a TCG, this is the best when it comes to a fantastic balance of the overall and details of gameplay. Starter Decks let you get familiar with the basics, and once you are at the point where you are able to go through a match without having to stop and check "wait, what does this keyword mean?" or "wait, what is this effect again?", you are ready to graduate, and I STRONGLY recommend either buying an "Advanced Deck" if you want a Pre-Configured (PreCon) Deck that is actually ready for serious play and able to have card pack cards integrate into it, or even buy a box from a recent expansion and you can build up to 3 or 4 viable custom decks from. Maybe even split a box with a friend and you can each build 2 decks easily. Either way, you can throw this Starter Deck in reserve and either keep it when you want to play a relaxing match, to see how it fairs against a friends deck, or when you are going to play a new rookie who needs someone to "take it easy" on them. My only criticism of this specific product listing on Amazon, and why it gets 4/5 instead of 5/5 - if you are anything like me and enjoy collecting TCG boxes for sentimental value or for displaying on a shelf or anything like that, then buyer beware. Product was simply placed in a thin cardboard material bag, and that's it. Every time the package was thrown or knocked into something, the deck box took the damage. Corners are mashed up, the front face of the box was creased inwards, etc. Again, the actual cards are just fine, Bandai protected them well inside the box, so if you're throwing away the box after opening then absolutely pick this up. If you do care about the box at all, then try looking elsewhere.

A good deck. If you like collecting cards with creatures plants dinosaur robots, than you might enjoy this deck. Digimon has a good batch of cards and the art takes front and center.

Gran deck de inicio, es un poco difícil de entender en mi caso comparado con otros tcg, pero es muy entretenido. Totalmente en inglés ya que hasta el momento no hay ediciones en español.
