Best leg workout in my opinion! Get it girl!

I love a really hard workout
I love a really hard workout. I've done all the Insanity DVD's (including Asylum) and all the P90s in addition to lots of cardio mixed in. I'm on a barre kick now and am loving Dailey Method. I just did this workout this am and am so impressed with it. I was dripping sweat and had to pause it a few times. I can't figure out why this particular DVD isn't as highly rated as her others. This is a gem!

Extremely challenging but a tad repetitive
I do workout DVDs all the time and I found this one insanely challenging. I STILL can't make it all the way through. I find her moves so tough almost to the point of un-doable (and I teach fitness part-time and thought I was in great shape!). My only real criticism of this DVD, as others have mentioned, is that the moves do become repetitive...you do the same thing over and over and over to the point where you actually start to feel a little bored. I know repetition is supposedly where the benefit lies, but I wouldn't mind if she'd mix it up. There is also an excessive focus on lunges and squats. Other body parts don't get nearly as much attention. But all in all, I'll keep trying to do this DVD. Maybe one of these days, I'll actually be able to complete it.

Not what I thought it would be
Very disappointed in this DVD, for the record I exercise mainly with Cathe DVDs, so I am used to challenging workouts, good music and some sort of choreography. I did not like that this entire workout consisted of watching her dance around with 2lb dumbells. This was more like a 45 minute warm up with very basic moves. The other reviews were very misleading, if you want quality workout DVDs you can't go wrong with Cathe or Tony Massenburg.

I really wanted to enjoy this dvd
I really wanted to enjoy this dvd,as I have many of the other Tonique dvds and enjoy them in my rotation.I did agree with other reviewers that this workout is very long&monotonous and I do struggle being on 1 leg for so many reps.I felst a lot of discomfort in my knees and decided it wasn't worth the pain.I do enjoy Sylwia's Premier dvd as well as Energy Mat.I also was not able to master her Born To Move dvd,as it also spends too much time on 1 leg,as well as too many crouching positions which killed my knees.

If you love Tonique Premier, you'll love this one, too!
I own about 300 workout DVDs, and yet Sylwia Weisenberg's Tonique workouts are the ones I reach for over and over again. Not only do they get results, but they are fun to do and challenge me in the best possible way. I own all of the Tonique workouts, but Sylwia Wiesenberg's Tonique Premier DVD and Tonique Born to Move with Sylwia DVD (BTM) have always been my favorites. Addicted to Movement and her other new one Tonique Femme Fatale with Sylwia Wiesenberg DVD (FF) are now amongst my faves! ATM i designed to be a step up in intensity from Premier, and it's a really fun workout. She mentions on the back of the DVD that ATM will help prepare you to do BTM and FF, which are definitely more challenging workouts. That being said, this one is still *really* hard! Unlike BTM and FF, Sylwia doesn't keep you for a very long time on just one leg, making it easier to stop the workout mid-way through. This one also seems to have more squats in it than BTM and FF, which I like. Although there are similar moves in ATM and in her other workouts, Sylwia is also very creative -- and she keeps coming up with new moves to challenge and inspire us! The DVD is broken down into the main workout, plus some bonus segments: * Main workout -- 80 minutes * Verve - 7-minute stretch video that's designed to be a mini cool down; this is also on the Femme Fatale DVD and there is no voiceover * Express - 16 minutes - this is a bonus workout that is one of the new Tonique Express Downloads; this is also on the Femme Fatale DVD and there is no voiceover * Sway - 10 minutes - a suspension workout -- Sylwia has her legs up on a window heater to do this workout; I haven't been able to make it work for me since I don't have a space to do it; this is also on the Femme Fatale DVD and there is no voiceover * Interview with Sylwia -- 20 minutes To do the workouts on ATM, you will just need a pair of 1- or 2-pound weights and an exercise mat. What I also love about Sylwia's newer workouts is how much more arm work there is. You will do some motions like handstands, where you kick your legs up and back behind you, and you'll also use your hand weights in more movement. As with Born to Move and Femme Fatale, there is a lot more balance work, as compared to her earlier DVDs. You'll use your hand weights, for instance, to balance on the ground and do leg kicks and lifts on one side. I really like this new component to the Tonique workouts since working on our balance is so important as we age. I've mentioned this in my FF and BTM reviews, but when I first bought Born to Move, I ended up buying a new pair of two-pound weights that are about three inches longer than my original pair. (I bought these ones at a local store: Reebok Rubber Hex Dumbbell .) Even though these dumbbells are just a few inches longer than the ones I already owned, that additional length helps me do some of the moves a lot better, especially the ones where she has you balance the weights on the floor and kick one leg back. I know that some women worry about bulking up from doing lots of lunges and squats, but because Sylwia does so many reps and doesn't use heavy weights, I've found that her workouts slim my lower half and create nice muscle. Her focus is to create this lean muscle without bulk, while also creating a nice lift in the booty. I also love how positive and encouraging Sylwia is in her workouts. She uses a voiceover on her two new DVDs as she does with all of her workouts except Premier, and she truly wants you to succeed. This workout is also filmed in real time since, as she explains, she wants to show you that she doesn't expect you do to anything that she herself can't do. Her positive energy and desire to motivate us are part of why I love doing Tonique. If you're looking to try out her workouts, you can also purchase Express Downloads on her website for about three dollars each. They're a great way to try out the Tonique method to see if you like it. As I said, Sylwia is one of my favorite instructors, and I just love this new ATM workout and also Femme Fatale!
