King Cole Tinsel Chunky Knitting Wool / Yarn 50g (Rusty 1862)

Love this wool. Colour chosen by grandaughter for coat for dog I am making her.

Rather a shock as it arrived completely flat but when opened sprang into exactly as it would have been in a shop - round and fluffy. Clever packaging! It looks exactly as pictured.

These King Cole tinsel yarns are so festive and look stunning. This review is for rocket which is red with a purple/blue accent but I now have several colours in this yarn and love them all. There are so many to choose from. Even when I’m knitting with it I feel festive but they are also wonderful for Halloween, soft toys and household items. They are easy to knit with assuming you are paying attention to what you are doing, and being chunky they knit up quite quickly. I am making a paper chain type Christmas garland using this and the Argent colour, which is also beautiful. I was suprised that they don’t shed, which is certainly an advantage over real tinsel. Please note that the yarns are hand wash only.

Lovely yarn to knit with even on thinner needles. It has a real frosty sparkle. I won’t be buying it again as the import tax and delivery cost more than the actual product.

This craft wool is brilliant. I love working with it. I've been using the tinsel for years. I always wash very gently by hand and put it into a folded towel to press down and squeeze the water out gently. Then I give it a genital shake and dry it draped over the outside line or indoors. But it has a little trick if you shake it gently as its drying out it goes back into its fluffy state. Over the coldest of winters people have asked could I knit a scarf for them. One year a ball of fancy pants wool came in and was double knit so I knit with the two strands at the same time it was the softest most beautiful sparkle warm scarf I've ever knit. Don't be afraid to knit up using size 10s they are fabulously soft. Also my friend makes the Santa's and his friends. And uses two different colours of tinsel together, knits up very fluffy indeed. I've never had a bad ball or fault or complaint. I would say to anyone to give it a go I know you won't be disappointed.

Great Yarn used for dog snood

I love this yarn but was disappointed with the first ball - only knitted about 20 rows and there have been 4 joins in the wool already. I'm sure this is not typical.

First time knitting with this type of wool and it took some getting used to. I used this wool to knit a brown squirrel tail, it looks great. My granddaughter is happy with the finished results.

Je ne connaissais pas ce fil et je m'attendais à un toucher plus "rugueux". Je l'ai acheté pour réaliser les hiboux de King Cole (peu connu dans ma région). Je suis ravie de découvrir cette douceur. Ma curiosité ne me déçoit absolument pas.

Hard to find as it’s from the UK, so great that Amazon carries these. I bought several colors for crafts & they’re all very pretty!

Non l'ho usato per lavorare a maglia, ma per creare una decorazione (l'ho avvolto intorno ad un cono di polistirolo, per creare un piccolo albero di natale). Per questo uso è molto carino, mi è piaciuto molto. Acquisterò altri colori.

Il filato è bello e conforme. Gomitolo da 50 gr. - non sono soddisfatta per le spese di spedizione. Oltre ad aver pagato € 3,20 al momento dell'ordine, ho pagato al postino € 4,20 di dazi doganali che non erano indicati nella descrizione dell'articolo quindi decisamente poco conveniente. Costa più la spedizione della merce
