Best. Holster. Ever.
When I look for a holster, I want four things: protection, a holster that stays on my belt, a holster that holds the phone firmly and a decent look. This holster delivers in all four ways. First, protection: I get on and off of a lot of planes every year, and in and out of more rental cars than I can count. I've been jostled in crowds, fallen and had things fall on me, and I need to know that phone will still work. Worse is when the holster comes off the belt and holster and phone fall to the ground. Which brings me to point two: a holster that will stay on my belt. I've had coats, seat belts, plane seats and almost everything else you can think of knock other holsters off my belt. Well, this one is hard to get off even when you want it to come off. I usually just undo the belt and slip it out, because it is way easier. The clip is permanently attached to the holster, and is made of a strong plastic. It is holding up just fine after a couple months of using it all day, every day. Along with that, I want a holster that holds the phone snugly, so that the phone can't come out too easily. Doesn't help to have the holster say on the belt if the phone can easily be knocked out of the holster. That won't happen with this phone. First, the case on my Note 4 is nice and snug. Second, the Velcro closure takes a bit of force to pull open. It is also noisy, which can be both a plus, and a minus (don't expect to unobtrusively remove your phone during a business meeting, for example). the plus is that I can hear it, and feel it, when the Velcro opens. A colleague with a magnetic latch holster had it stolen right off his belt and never felt, or heard, a thing. Finally, looks. Once you get past the whole "I've got a brick on my belt" thing, I just want a holster that doesn't stand out, or scream "look at MEEEEEE." This holster fits the bill, but beyond that, I actually like the way it looks, and have even had a couple of people ask me about it. So it passes the looks test. My biggest test of how much I like a product is asking myself if I would buy it again. If I lost my current holster, I would be on Amazon ASAP to buy this one again. It does exactly what I want, and is exactly what I need. I recommend this without reservation.

Rugged Nite Ize case that fits my iPhone 6s Plus even with the Apple leather case
I have been using this Nite Ize black belt clip holster case while doing rugged outdoor work on weekends for the last three months ... It's one of the few iPhone 6s Plus belt clip holster cases that has no magnetic closure. I chose this belt clip holster case with Velcro closure since magnets can affect the iPhone camera optical stabilization. This Black Nite Ize case is made with Ballistic Nylon accented with Hypalon and is easy to clean so, it's my outdoors work case. It protects my iPhone 6s Plus and keeps it safe and at-hand on my belt, in a fixed horizontal position PROS: The case is made with durable materials - Ballistic Nylon accented with Hypalon. The nylon protects the phone from impacts. Hypalon is a weather-resistant elastomer that adds style and practicality to this case External Case Dimensions: 6.2" x 3.6" x 1.6". So, this belt holster comfortably fits my iPhone 6s Plus although it's a snug fit with with the Apple leather case - SEE MY PHOTOS IN CUSTOMER IMAGES. This belt holster case has a strong rugged plastic flex clip that fits securely on my waistband or trousers belts up to 2.2" wide. The flex clip on this belt holster is quite user-friendly ... I can attach and remove my belt holster without having to unbuckle my belt. I also like clipping the holster on my gym bag strap The Velcro closure is 3.25" long x .75" wide. So, my iPhone 6s Plus is very secure in this belt holster. Certainly much stronger than any magnet closure can afford ... and, of course, without any chance of messing up the camera workings! This belt case has elastic side flaps ... so, taking out and replacing the iPhone in the holster is ultra-easy The inner part of the case is smooth so my iPhone is safe from scratches There is an inner pocket that is handy for keeping a credit card, ID or bank notes ... handy if I need to travel light. CONS: Velcro of course, makes a noise when the flap is opened. I either close the flap halfway down or just open the Velcro really slowly if I need to be quiet ... works for me. NOT REALLY A CON: This black ballistic nylon and Hypalon elastomer belt holster looks is designed for outdoor sports ... so, this holster may clash with your business suit. For a more dressed look but equally functionality, I use the Nite Ize Black Executive Leather Horizontal XX-large Holster Pouch belt clip holster (Model - EHL2L-17-R3) Overall, this Nite Ize case i(Model CCSXL-03-01) belt holster seems to be well crafted, it's affordably priced and looks like it would last a long time. I'll update this review if things go awry. Hope my review and photos were helpful ... Jeffrey A. (Jeff)

Great at first but don't expect to get more than 12 months out of it.
This is my 4th Nite Ize case to date and I've had the same love/hate relationship with them since my first, back when I owned a Galaxy S2. I currently own the XXL to house my LG G6 and protective case. The phone & case fit inside the Nite Ize very well, which was obviously the main reason for buying this. The secondary reason was the card holder, which is a must-have for me but always lets me down. The problem here is that the elastic in the case section stretches too much, to the point of being almost useless since cards will often come flying out of the case. If you're someone who plays in the park or elsewhere with their kids then you're either not going to be able to run around or you'll have to take this case off your belt. I've had cards fall out just from taking my phone out at the cinema to turn the ringer off, and I really wish Nite Ize could have added something as simple as a Velcro tab to folder over the card pocket to help hold it shut. Another problem is that the case just began to fall apart within a couple of months. Not only did it quickly look awful in that time but I bought my latest one in April 2017 and by August it had begun to show signs of wear & tear, going for a nice rich black to 'beat-up grey'. I don't do anything crazy or go anywhere that would damage this - it literally just sits on my belt while I go about my day to day business. Also, apart from the elastic stretching out too much, the seams start to fall apart and - worse - the Velcro holding the main flap shut falls apart. Again, these are issues that I have faced with 4 out of 4 Nite Ize Clip Cases (only the sizes that I've bought have changed). This means that I've actually developed a habit of pressing the flap down every 20 or 30 seconds at any point during my day, more to make sure my phone is still there since I've given up on trying to make this stay close. This is extremely annoying and makes the case little more than a constantly-opening pocket for my phone rather than any sort of secure holder. On the positive side, the belt loops have always held up perfectly for me! Despite just earning 3 stars I'll probably replace this (again...) since it's the only case I know that fits the phone well and lets me carry cards around without having to put a wallet in my pocket, too. EDIT: (And this is an important one) I contacted Nite Ize Customer Service who replied within hours. They told me I should have contacted them sooner and that they have a "Worry Free Guarantee". Once I had provided my info & proof of purchase they got straight back to me, informing me they were sending a replacement right away. While I can't, in good faith, give this 5 stars because of the problems I've had, I'll happily bump this up to 4 thanks to the excellent Customer Service. Knowing that the company stands by their products, flaws and all, means I'll give them more business.

This thing is massive!
I ordered a Nite Ize XXL case for my iPhone 6s. I’m rating it 5 stars because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the case. There are two pockets inside, separated laterally by a strip of nylon. My phone fits in one, and I think I could fit a movie-size 4-ounce candy box in the other. While my phone doesn’t physically rattle in the case with the Velcro shut, the case is way too big for my iPhone 6s. This is my fault, not the case’s fault. There is a lot of Velcro on the flap. It’s not coming loose unless you failed to close it, or you got something stuck between the hooks and loops, like the tail of a shirt. It’s pretty loud upon opening, and I had originally planned to remove the Velcro stitching with a seam ripper and replace it with some flat magnets glued inside the fabric. However, the case is way too big on my hip and it will probably be converted to some other use, such as a pocket to drop my phone in the car. There are a few reviews that rip on the belt clip. Here’s my take: You DON’T want the case to fall off your belt. That’s the purpose of a belt clip instead of awkward loops. I’ve had one-way clip cases that would fall off my belt while getting out of the car or bumping up against the kitchen island. The Nite Ize clip is very secure. The trick to removing it is to twist the case at a slight angle, then edge the lip of the clip off your belt. No problem; I can do it left-handed in about three seconds. So, while I will be looking for other options for my horizontal belt case (very possibly a smaller Nite-Ize product), there is nothing wrong with this case if you have a larger device.

Larger size, same great product!
Im a bit of a Nite Ize fan and have been for years. I first bought their mini maglight LED conversion kit (the one that voided the maglight warranty and didnt even have an on button!) and have watched them grow ever since. I buy several things from them. This case is for my new larger phone. I am active at work, climbing ladders, crawling under things, walking around alot. This case does the 2 vital things I need: 1)It locks on my belt. Not clips-on, LOCKS! Their clip is amazing. In theory I should be able to use 2 hands and work it off my belt; in practice, I unbuckle my belt and slide it off. Yeah, its that good. Its why i have their flashlight and multi-tool holders on my belt as well. (I think I did reviews on them). Oh, and the clip slips over your belt to clip on easily, and will outlast the rest of the case. 2) The case seals shut. Now you need to actually close the velcro with a push, but once its closed, it stays closed. Magnets can be jolted open, but this velcro wont be. Of course the velcro will wear out, just like the elastic bands on the sides, but it lasts a good long time. I typically buy a new case to just look nicer before the case is completly worn out. Obviously, YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary, I love that abbreviation! Lol) based on the use/abuse you give it. I have routinely had two of these at a time, one to beat up at work (usually 6 months+ usage) and one for personal usage (usually 12 months+ usage). When my "work" case wears out, I buy a new "personal" case and rotate the personal case to be my new work case. I protect my phone with an "edge-type" case for when I drop it, but this case keeps my phone on my hip securely anytime its not in my hands. Im not telling you to buy one, Im asking why you dont have one already!?! ;)

At last---the perfect holster for my Iphone 6S!
Third time's the charm! I tried 2 other brands of holsters that said they would accommodate my new Iphone6S with the LifeProof case on it. Neither of them would stay clipped on the pocket of my jeans. NiteIze made the holster I had for my old phone, but of course that holster (which I used every day for 2+ years and still was almost like new) was too small for the new model. NiteIze hasn't come out with anything that SAYS it fits the 6S yet, so I had to go check measurements on Apple's site, and this one is perfect. My old holster was a vertical clip that rotated, and I usually ended up putting it between vertical and horizontal to have the phone clipped and still sit comfortably while driving. (If it's not clipped, I'll forget it in the car, so that's important to me.) Was not sure if I would like the horizontal-only position, but I knew for sure I didn't want a vertical-only, and I didn't see a rotating-clip case that would fit the phone. As it turns out, this one is perfect! It's out of my way when I'm driving, and easy to get into. It also has extra room for ID or credit cards, which so far I haven't used but probably will. As for the clip, it's the BEST. Even when my old holster got slid around, the clip would hold onto my jeans pocket. People would tell me I was about to lose my phone, but it was usually just slid out to the end of the clip and still holding on for dear life. Yes, it did fall off sometimes, but not constantly like these two new ones I tried. And the phone was never damaged....parking lots, concrete, never. Honestly, the clip is kinda hard to get ON. But once it's on, it stays put. If you're looking for a case to put in a shirt pocket or inside pocket of your suit, you probably don't want this one because the strong clip makes it bulky, and the padding is thicker than on other holsters. But if you need rugged protection that's going to keep your phone where you put it while you're doing stuff other than commuting and sitting in meetings, I would definitely recommend this one!

Lasts About a Year of My Abuse
I've been using this brand and style case since 2014. They last about a year of my abuse before the Velcro is totally worn out, plastic belt clip wears out or breaks and the expanding sides lose their elasticity. I got the XXL this time for my new Note 10+ work Defender case and it fits just fine. I know (from past experience) within a week or so the snugness it currently has will loosen up quite a bit. I prefer Velcro closures over magnets for phone cases and the quality and workmanship of this brand has been consistent for over 5 years now. When new it's stiff and the Velcro is extra grippy but that loosens up over time so it becomes like an old friend of a wallet . If you want very slight padding, a Velcro closure ,a heavy duty plastic belt clip, a rear slot for id, card, etc (I carry a Sourin Air vape pod) and a consistent quality in a product found at many brick and mortar stores as well as online, all at a respectable price go for this one.

Great case with some general small details like all items.
First one received was clearly a past return but the issue is who ever had it first probly used it for 29 days then returned it has many do this. I dont care if i get previous returns as long as there still new and this is clearly used. Contacted amazon via chat to see if i could get credit or half value and keep the item but they offered 20%. I told them i wanted the case for the weekend, this being thursday noon, and they said they would ship a replacement with 1 day shipping option at no cost and took that. Got a new one today just on time for the week end and this one is really new. Case is great. Looks and feels great. Fits my S5 with a small case on it perfect. Overall great case but one minor detail. When i put the phone in volume buttons at the bottom a slight pressure under the case and it presses them. Not big issue since its the volume and will keep the power button up to avoid turning on and off and practical in a way. If my phone rings no need to take it out to mute it. Just press the bottom of the case. (Probly because i strapped to tight and anyways on belt it shouldn't have pressure at the bottom.) Great case and would recommend.
