Great Product
Easy to fit and does exactly what you expect it to do. Mine had snapped and so i was in fear of leaving my filler cap on the pump - this has took that minor worry away - well worth the money i paid

It retains!
Fits my 2013 Jag XF very well. Knocked a star off because it doesn't spin around the fuel cap when you turn the cap, so it's a bit of a faff at the pumps. Moon on a stick, he wants!

Slightly larger than the original one on a Jaguar XE Diesel
According some searching this should be compatible with the fuel cap for a diesel Jaguar XE, which is what I used it for. The ring is slightly larger than the original but works perfectly well. It's easy to fit and easily described on the internet.

Review of Akozon fuel filler retaining strap for Jaguar XF 2008-2015. This is fine provided you are OK with doing minor jobs on your car. You'll need to be able to get the old ring off and this one. It's not bad, but there are no instructions (hence 4 stars). You can try searching for e.g. "powerfuluk xf fuel filler strap" and will find some instructions in a video. You may wish to consider giving custom to that company since they bothered to do this and there's not much in it cost wise. The overall rating of this seems a bit unfair given that one review is for someone trying to use on a VW (although they fairly gave it 4 stars) and another is for someone with an XE (not an XF) who gave it one star for not fitting (duh?). There's a review from abroad which says that the part they received did not match the pictures. I think that may have just been a packing error or the seller switched suppliers at some point. The one I got was a match. Both the ring and the retaining strap are flexible and slightly stretchy rather than rigid plastic. The pin wasn't identical to the original (sorry I binned before thinking to take a picture), but close enough.

Fits fine.
Probably th ehardest part was getting the broken piece out of the fuel filler before fitting this. To fit the retainer to the cap I used a large flat blade to prise the yellow part away from the black part to allow the old tether ring to be removed and the new one fitted before clipping back together again. However, it's probably easier to fit the tether to the hinge of the filler flap first and then fitting the cap to the tether to avoid having weight dangling whilst fitting.
