Keeps the smell in.
Locks in the smell and just looks like a container (black). Fits a lot of stuff. Does seem to dry out the products a bit, but that's more my fault for leaving them in it unwrapped.

Not Air tight, Not smell proof
The whole purpose of ordering these was that they were meant to be Air tight and smell proof. I bought 2 different sizes. Both Do Not keep the smell inside. I can still smell the herbs and spices shortly after putting them in. Not impressed at all. Only positive is they are sturdy and seem good material.
