Practically Perfect in Every Way
I bought mine a couple of years ago now. I use it mostly for chopping larger pieces of wood into kindling, and it's absolutely perfect for that. Nice grip, ideal weight, appropriately sharp. Can't fault it.

Unbelievable product at a fantastic price
I have used Amazon many times over the last few years and I have never written a review before but I always rely on the reviews of others (naughty me!) So this is my first review and as I never usually write them there must be a great reason for doing so, which brings me onto the axe. It has a good grip, feels very solid and is comfortable in your hand. There is a cover for the blade, which is very sharp (the old dear slightly nicked her hand as she took the cover off so be careful). It is ideal for cutting kindling wood for the fire. It is an amazing piece of kit and as you can tell I highly recommend it. But what is more astonishing is the price - £6.54 including free postage! The nearest price I could find elsewhere on the internet was between £10-£15 inc postage, so grab yourselves a bargain. And before you ask, no I am not on commission. I work as teacher and love my wood burner! So I am now no longer an Amazon Reviewer Virgin.

Cheap way of making firewood.
Arrived quickly and in good condition. Sharp enough to chop wood straight out of the box. Will certainly take a better edge, but right now there's no need for what I am using it for. For the money, this is a good axe for splitting wood for the camp fire. It's not the lightest, but it's not too heavy for the pack either (my 12 year old son carries it). The sheath is a bit flimsy and won't last, but I'm a leather worker, so I'll just make a better one. Really, £6 gets you a decent chopper. None of my local big name DIY stores get anywhere near competing on price for comparable items, and this is delivered to your door. What more could you want? This was part of a bigger order. The seller was waiting for stock on some of the other items but sent what he had at no extra cost to myself, rather than keep me waiting. Very happy with the service, will no doubt use them again.

Good heavy duty axe
Ive been chopping logs since I got these, and that was over a year ago, this chopper is brilliant and still going sharp. I use it to chop medium sized logs into more manageable sizes for our log burner.

Good sharp small axe, strong and well balanced.
This hand axe arrived promptly. I used it almost immediately to chop a fair amount of wood and cut down a small dead tree. I managed to cut my finger while cleaning it, because the blade, even after all this use, was still razor sharp and sliced neatly and easily through four folds of cleaning cloth - take care when cleaning as the blade is very good indeed. The weighting is such that even with my small wrists I feel safe using it without risk of missing my mark, and it bites into wood very well. Because it is so sharp, it doesn't bounce away from the mark. The grip stays grippy even when damp. The supplied cover is tricky to put on and take off, but it does the job of rendering the blade safe and it looks smart. Everything about this axe is sturdy and well made. I am so pleased I bought it.

Worth the money
Much better than my previous axe which had a wooden handle, this one is slightly heavier with a sharper blade and chopped logs much easier. 10/10 Also liked the black grip on the handle.

It does exactly what it says on the tin...
The hatchet came coated in a thin layer of resin, which was relatively easy to remove, which I had to do to put a proper working edge on it. It felt reassuringly heavy, albeit a little top heavy. After using it for a few mins the handle becomes a little slick and slippery which doesn't bode well for its longevity. Whilst I was using it, it did chop into 30mm living branches, although for anything thicker it would be a real chore to use for that long. It did however keep the edge really well and felt quite sturdy for short periods. The cover is little more than a lightweight protection and I wouldnt trust it for fastening to a belt or the like
