Great tool for musicians
My son regularly visits nursing homes to entertain residents and I bought this for him to use. It works as a capo but he really just wanted something to allow him to look at chord charts as he plays. It’s especially helpful for taking “requests” from his audiences if he doesn’t know the songs well. It works well on his ukuleles and guitars.

Not what I needed but, it is solid!!!! Did review on my music channel.
Solid item. Should have read. I cannot use it to capture the fretboard when playing. Guitar stock must be angled as the unit won’t bend back in itself.. if that makes sense. However for keys the phone up on stock and allowing to view phone or take video, well does that just fine.

Useful for reading music on iPhone
This is a nice product. My granddaughter writes lots of songs and needed something to make reading her music while playing her guitar easier. This does simplify it. However, and the reason for four stars, the item is very hard for her to get on her guitar. It is way too tight. I hope that we can loosen it up by opening it many times. If we can, it gets the five-star rating.

Portrait mode not usable and affects tuning
While this is a good idea, the realization is not so good. From the positives, this is a very lightweight and compact gadget, so it's great for travel. If you indeed use it as capo on the frets (not just attach it above the nut), and you want a landscape mode, it may work for you. For me, however, a portrait mode is preferred. It's much better for a small screen so that you see more of the song text or chords as it scrolls. Landscape mode only gives you a handful of lines of text, and you need to scroll more often or slower. While the description claims and shows this works in portrait mode, that's not quite true. As you see in the pictures, there's not enough degrees of freedom to adjust the position fully, so, at best your phone is more like facing the sky than facing you. There are no nudges or other ways to lock the position - it's only friction-based, so, after a while you also end up with your phone tilted, as in anther picture. There's too much of a lever in portrait position that can't be fully controlled by tightness of the bolt. In addition, the way this is designed, you end up looking almost over your shoulder, in order to see the phone, particularly in portrait mode. I was expecting the capo to mount from under the neck, but that's not how it is designed, so in that position, you end up with your phone obscured by the guitar neck (see photo). Finally, a big drawback is, when you place this capo above the nut, it causes uneven pressure on the strings that are there, pressing the closest two strings a lot more, thus affecting the tuning quite a bit. And it would be rather annoying to re-tune the guitar every time you move or remove this capo. This is probably less of an issue with the portrait mode and below nut placements due to different weight distribution. My suggestions for the design are: - consider changing it, so it works with capo attaching from the bottom of the guitar for a better viewing angle - add another degree of freedom to the adjustment (or simply replace by a ball mount) - add ribs or something else that helps locking position, not relying on friction alone

Inutile come capotasto, inutilizzabile come supporto pe cellulare
Sulla confezione c'è scritto che si può usare sia in modalità verticale , l'unica che mi sia utile, che orizzontale. Purtroppo non è così. In modo verticale bisogna contorcersi per leggere. Buona l'idea ma va ridisegnato. Restituito
