So far so good
I have a 14 year old pomeranian that weighs 8.5lbs. She was recently diagnosed as early stages CHF. The vet put her on Vetmedin 1.25mg chews. They just cost too much. 50 chews is over $50. I started searching for an alternative and found these. For her small size I cut one chew in half. Then I cut the half in half. I gave her one of those pieces this morning with a small piece of cheese. She ate it fine. I'll give her the other half tonight. As long as she shows no signs of side effects from these and her cough does not return, I am hoping these will be a good alternative to the more expensive prescription medication. If these do not work, I will update this review. EDIT: Been using these for almost a month now. No coughing. The chews are hard and they don't smell great. But again, I cut them into quarter pieces and place a small piece of cheese on each piece before giving to her. She eats it fine but she's also trained to eat her medicine before she gets a proper treat. Show her the treat, take it away and give her the medicine and then the treat. Even the most stubborn dog will take their medicine this way. Put a bit of sliced cheese or get that squirty can cheese to coat the medicine. I'm definitely ordering more of these when I run out. They work as well as the prescription chews and cost much less. 2nd Edit: Still loving these chews! I've started splitting the contents of the bag when it arrives. I place half in a zip lock bag and the other half in another zip log bag. I keep both inside the original bag. This keeps the chews softer over time. My Pomeranian is now 15 years old. She'll eat these chews without cheese now as she's so use to the routine of 1/4 chew in the morning and 1/4 chew in the evening. No coughing or heavy panting and she still loves to play chase!

It has been 3 weeks, please read my updates! :-)
My dog weighs 7lb, and he has CHF. I just got these in the mail on Saturday, so no results to speak of yet. I will update my review when I have something to share. I will say I give him half a treat twice a day. He loves them. I was devistated when I went to the vet and she told me that Uzi's heart was so enlarged that it was putting pressure on his trachea. My 5 star review is based on the hope this product has given me. If he improves in the slightest bit from these vitamins, I will be so happy. I'm very hopeful. At the very least, he thinks they are delicious. UPDATE: He loves these chews. It has been a week, and he is coughing less, and sleeping through the night which is great for both of us! The cats chewed a hole in the bag, and the chews have hardened, and he's less likely to eat them willingly now. They must taste yucky when they are stale. UPDATE AS OF 9/14: My dog seems to be doing better and better. He had been coughing because of the CHF multiple times daily, and at night. I haven't heard him cough in a couple of days- so he must be coughing very little. I read on several heart health websites that COQ10 increases the effectiveness of Enalapril, and he just had his dosages increased a month ago. He's had his medications increased here and there over the past 2 years, and never responded to the increase like he has this time, so I feel like this supplement is doing what it is supposed to be doing. He had a check-up this past Thursday and the doctor was surprised by how well he is doing. She said his lungs sounded clear, and she even admitted to me that she previously thought he had very little time left- but now she's very optimistic. I will continue to give him this product. He seems like his old self. He's perky and he is definitely comfortable.

Dog refuses to eat (and she eats poop).
There has never been anything my dog wouldn't eat until now. They smell horrible, which is usually right up a dog's alley, so the taste must be horrendous. I've tried soaking them in sauce, peanut butter, hiding in her food, breaking it up in her food. She will eat everything around it and spit them out on the side of her bowl. This from a dog who is obsessed with eating poop. So disappointing, because the premise is good.

Good product
I started my dog on this three months ago when she was diagnosed with enlarged heart. She developed a lot of coughing mostly when she got up or was playing. Iโve been using this for three months as I mentioned, and I have seen a significant difference. She is coughing a lot less And has a lot of energy. She can run up the stairs without coughing now. When she gets up in the morning, she doesnโt always cough. I give her this along with Hawthorne and dandelion. I believe the two products combined have made a huge difference in our heart health. I have not taken her to the vet again as she just went in February but I bet they would be surprised. Hope this helps. I love my dog and want to help her through this time of her life as much as I can.

Update
Update 3/14/20 The replacement bag I received seemed normal and I have continued to purchase these since my initial review. I have not encountered the same sour smell since then. My little ones (both with heart disease) take these nightly and are doing great. I have been very happy with this product in the past but I am extremely concerned with the batch I purchased recently (7/27/18). The number on the back of my bag is 33074600 1019. It smells bad and sour, like rancid milk, and is very obviously spoiled. I am very familiar with how it is suppose to smell and this is definitely not it. There is no way I would ever feed this to my babies. Please be careful if you have ordered this within the past week or so. Like I said, I do like the product and I do believe it has helped my dogs, but I am now very wary and my confidence in the product is uncertain. I have ordered a replacement and I will update on whether I get the same bad batch or not.

Great product! Really does work!
I bought this for my 17-year-old dachsi mix. It worked fine, but she was 17. The I shared the info with a friend whose younger dog had a cough that the Vet suspected was heart issues. Within days of using these chews, the cough was gone! So, I recommended them to yet another friend, similar issues with her dog, same result!!!! Great product!

Vetri Cardio Canine Recommended by Veterinary Cardiologist
Max, my 13 1/2 year old yorkie, was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, an enlarged heart and a heart murmur after a lengthy stay at the emergency hospital for a seizure. The vet cardiologist recommended a list of supplements or these easy little chews along with Viagra twice a day to treat the hypertension. After looking up all of the individual supplements, I decided that these chews were easier, had the recommended dosages and were also cost effective. He has happily eaten them since I received them and would prefer to have more than one a day. I have been cutting each chew in half and giving it as a treat twice a day so he thinks he's getting more. I hope that they are benefiting his health and will help extend his life so that I have more time with my baby. The chews I received are not super, squishy soft but definitely not hard, just chewy and do not have a foul odor as some others have reported. I will definitely be mindful of smell and texture on any future orders.

Sounds like a good product, but our dog won't consume them.
I'm sure they are a great product, but unfortunately our Cavalier Spaniel won't eat them no matter what we try to do (hide them in his food, break them up, etc). They are strong smelling, but our dog won't eat them :(
