Purchased this splitter as a work around to get the Xbox Series X to output 4K 120hz to my TV, and a second down converted 4K 60hz signal to my Hue Sync box as the Sync box does not accept 4K 120hz. After a couple quick flicks of the EDID and downscale switch settings it was time to connect everything. Used the ultra high speed HDMI cable that came with the Xbox to connect it to the splitter input. Then used another ultra high speed HDMI capable from output 1 on the splitter to my LG TV. Then connected a high speed HDMI from output 2 on the splitter to my home theater receiver (which is ultimately connected to my Hue Sync). Turned everything one and had no issues at all. TV is receiving the 4K 120hz signal as verified through the Xbox display settings. My receiver is getting a full Dolby Atmos signal. And the Hue Sync and all lights work perfectly. So if you are looking for a simple work around solution to not have to sacrifice Xbox performance and still enjoy your Hue Sync setup, buy with this splitter with confidence.

Lasted about a year, but CEC no longer passes through. I have to remove it from my setup in order to get CEC back. Emailed easycool a week ago but have gotten no response.

Works very well to integrate a variety of TVs / projectors and various 4k and HD players. The biggest issue when mixing HD/4k and HDR/non-HDR is all of the EDID mess that is inherent in such a setup, and these splitters make fixing the resulting EDID problems simple while still passing through 60Hz 4k HDR signals with 7.1 audio to the TVs that support those streams. I have not tested the downscaler as I still rely on the player to do the downscaling, but everything else seems to work as advertised, and the units don't die after a year like some other brands...

The per-output downscaler on this unit is a great idea but extremely poorly executed. It does not work in any usable manner most of the time. First, it messes up colors with both the PS5 and XSX in 4k120hz mode, even without VRR. Obviously a certain level of quality will always be lost due to downscaling, but this is beyond that. Reds are orange and the picture is very dull in general. Second, unlike Ezcoo's more expensive 1x2 splitter, this one will not downscale >18Gbps VRR content at all. If the input signal is 4k120hz VRR, the downscaler is unable to output anything. Turning the downscaler off makes the picture immediately appear. Now, given the rarity of VRR capable downscalers and the relatively cheap price of this unit, perhaps it is fair that it just can't do it at this price point. Finally, even with content that the downscaler did work with (even if the colors were wrong), the signal dropped out every now and then for seemingly no reason. With the downscaler turned off, there were no drop outs. Even if you do not care about the color issue, these drop outs alone make the splitter unusable to e.g. feed an older AVR. I've reduced an additional star because Ezcoo's support was extremely unhelpful. I sent them a detailed report about all these issues, and although they did respond after a few days, the response was useless and it was clear that they at best skimmed through the email if even that. Literally, their response was that "4k120hz results in 1080p120hz" and to make sure that the output device supports that, completely failing to address any of the issues, and had they actually read my email they would have seen that my device was perfectly capable of 1080p120hz too. Once I pointed out that they did not address any of the concerns there was no further response. Here's to hoping they can fix some of these issues in a future firmware release but since they don't seem to test their devices, and fail to accept issue reports, I doubt anything will change. Not recommended for anyone who actually needs downscaling.
