Sharp and smooth
These pins are the absolute best; you don't struggle pinning anything with them, they're smooth and sharp! The pinheads are a little bit small and if you drop one it's hard to see it but I just use a magnet over my floor and my sewing area and it picks them up right away. I'm glad I bought these.

Increased productivity makes these pins invaluable.
I purchased these pins based on recommendation by quilter Harriet Hargrave who claimed these are the only pins fine enough to sew over. I've never been one to sew right over my pins...I always slow down and carefully " walk" over them. Now I sew the whole seam without slowing for pins; I haven't broken a needle yet, and this makes my sewing probably 5 times faster (or more). No-brainer here; I'm sticking with these even if I have to purchase more now and then, or even, heaven forbid, I break an occasional needle. The increased speed and productivity is worth it. The little pin case is sturdy and latches well, but transferring them to a magnetic pin holder makes using these so much easier. They can be ironed over. They bend easily, but if you're gentle, they last a long time, and only make tiny holes in the fabric. I will only buy these from now on. My only complaint is that these pretty, pale blue & yellow clear glass-head pins are hard to find on the floor if you drop one. I wish they had brighter heads...or that I had better eyesight! (My magnetic pin holder does make finding them much easier!) Update: I purchased a pkg of Clover flowerhead pins for shear/lightweight fabrics (0.45mm). I was really surprised that the flowerhead pins were thicker than these. I tried 1 flowerhead for piecing and immediately went back to these. I'm buying more. I like to replace every year or so just so I have super sharp pins, although it's probably not necessary to do that as frequently as I do. I love these pins.

Hands down, the best pins ever.
Look no further. These are the pins you want for quilting. I am a long-time quilter and won't use any other pin. They slide into the fabric like butter. Don't even buy the Clover red & green heads. They are 6 mm wide and are just not as good, even though the length is excellent. The 4mm pins , 36mm long are the ones you want; yellow and blue heads. I sew right over them and iron over them too. I drop them on my hardwood floor all the time and they blend in with the floor or get vacuumed up. Thats ok, I'll buy more as needed. Sometimes they get bent, but all pins do. They are superb pins.

Great company to depend on
Clover has always been a good brand to rely on if youโre a seamstress. The pins are a good thickness so theyโre not just going to bend or break. I would order these again.

Ease of use - super smooth to pin.
Nice and sharp, easy to pin me pieces when piecing. Wish the color of the pin heads was a little darker - easier to find if they fall on the floor as occasionally they will. :)

These pins are amazing!
After using another brand's pins to make a king size quilt, I needed to replace all the bent pins caused from pinning and sewing on them (I know you should not sew on pins but when matching fine lines/plaids/seams perfectly, it works). I began sewing apparel 45 years ago, more recently added quilting. The Clover patchwork pins (fine) arrived and I had to check them out for this review. These pins are the sharpest I have ever used. Next, I put them to the strength test by pinning through my quilt block sample multiple times. Yes - they bend easily, but they go right back to their original straight shape as if the pins have been tempered or something. I will be ordering only Clover pins from now on. These little pins are amazing.

Best Pins for Patchwork
These 0.4mm size pins slide easily through fabric. The heads are glass and will not melt with an iron. The sewing foot rides easily over the shaft, but remove the pin before sewing over the shaft. The pins are easily bent if the needle hits it. Using a quarter-inch foot with guide, you can gently lift the guide over the shaft and continue sewing until the needle is almost at the shaft. Remove the pin & continue sewing. Great for keeping fabric corners together & aligned. Best pins ever!

Brilliant on delicate fabrics!!
The patchwork clover pins are by far the best pins out there. They are brilliant on delicate materials. I have used them over and over again on bridal materials and they've never let me down. I highly recommend them
