Sonos Move 2 - Wireless Portable Speaker (White)

Experienced a Move in a holiday home and was so blown away, had to purchase one when I came back.The best way to describe this speaker is it's a brilliant speaker for moving around in the house from room to room, trueplay does a great job of tuning the sound for each room's acoustics and the battery life has never disappointed. My favourite feature is that the battery is user replaceable, so in the future, when the battery does eventually cake out, it won't be too hard to install a new one and keep the speaker running for longer.I had no issues with WiFi and the S2 app. Multi room audio works great with Sonos devices and AirPlay devices such as integrating with my AirPlay amplifier and Apple TV. Bluetooth also works perfectly fine when using out and about, just wish you could check the battery percentage when connected via Bluetooth.But what really sets this speaker apart is the sound quality. I haven't heard better sound from such as tightly built package before. Place the speaker in a corner of a room, and you'd be mistaken for thinking there was a subwoofer in the room somewhere. And the dual tweeters really help boost clarity of certain tracks. Doing A-B testing between this and the Bose SoundLink Max, I was constantly picking the Sonos with it's more pronounced V shape sound. The bose was no sloutch and both could get equally loud, I just found the Bose losing more details in the sounds at higher volumes, as well as lacking in sub bass.The only time I wouldn't recommend this speaker is if you are constantly moving around, the design is very premium and carrying it around will likely get it dinged up if you are not careful, compared to some of the competitors such as the JBL extreme series. Also the speaker is quite heavy compared to it's competitors, it's perfectly okay to carry to the beach or park but you can notice the extra 1kg compared to the Bose SoundLink Max.Some other things I really like are the built in Alexa, great for shouting at the speaker for the weather, adding stuff to the shopping list or if the doorbell is going off. The volume slider has perfect increments and the sound feedback it plays when adjusting, you'd think there is some apple haptic engine inside. And the ability to add a usbc to 3.5mm adapter is a nice touch just in case I was ever going to use a device that only outputs via aux.£449 is pricy for any speaker, you can get cheaper alternatives but if you want the best of the best, this is my recommendation. Especially if you can get it on sale.

This speaker is amazing I am absolutely amazed at the quality of sound for a portable speaker. I debated for ages over this or the roam and while I haven’t tried the roam I have to say the move has exceeded all expectations. It looks sleek, it’s sturdy and the sound quality is brilliant for me. It is slightly heavier than I expected but I think that the quality of sound makes that perfectly acceptable, personally think the value for money is bang on with this speaker but appreciate it’s one of the more higher end ones however been a Sonos user for years so it’s what I expected. It’s easy to use and set up, and I find the playback quality both indoors and outdoors is unmatched. Great product and very happy with my purchase

Let's be honest. If your on a tight budget you won't pick this speaker. If, however, you're looking to treat yourself, then this will reward you. Everything, from the packaging, to it's sturdy smart design, to it's impressive sound performance, exude quality. You can tell that the manufacturer really cares about their product and what it delivers. Recommended.

Exceptional sound clarity to be enjoyed wherever you are whether in the garden, conservatory or whichever room you please to take the speaker.

Quite exceptional audio quality for a Bluetooth speaker - the sound definition of individual instruments is clearly heard and the orchestral stage is nearly as good. Battery life very good. Very heavy but has excellent carrying handle. But... I am only using it as a Bluetooth speaker - I couldn't work out all the stuff about connecting it to the LAN - I have had two LANs installed here for 30 years and use it all the time for exchanging files, printing, etc - the purpose of a LAN, after all. But I really couldn't work out how to play music over the LAN! :) OTOH I can very easily play music from my Smartphone over Bluetooth. So there's apparently a gap in my knowledge about playing music over a LAN! (should I ever need to do that:)

Oh my goodness this sounds phenomenal well worth the money agreat addition if you have other Sonos products but on its own just as impressive great sound .

Bought this for £449 and honestly, it’s the biggest pile of awkward rubbish I’ve ever owned. Sure, it sounds nice when it’s working, but getting it to that point is a nightmare. The app is infuriating—you have to create a Sonos account just to use Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi. Even when you’re signed in, it still asks you to log in again. Only the first account you set up works; every other device is locked out. For the love of God, why does it need a password to use it? It’s a freakin’ speaker, not a bank account!The hardware itself is fine—Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth work without issue—but the app makes basic usage unnecessarily frustrating. I got a new phone, and I cannot connect to it. The app says my old phone needs to allow access, but no notification ever comes on the old phone. I’ve tried resetting everything, but my email is tied to Sonos, so I’d need a new email just to use it again.Battery and sound are decent, but honestly, it’s a £450 paperweight. I wish I had refunded it, but I was moving home at the time and didn’t have the chance. If you value your sanity, avoid this speaker.

I didn’t actually receive this item. It was a gift my husband for Christmas but I received an empty box!It was dealt with swiftly by Amazon however I did purchase the same speaker elsewhere (time restraints meant I couldn’t wait for delivery so had to go and purchase one in person) and it’s fantastic. The sound is awesome, super easy set up and looks the part too. My husband has Ruark speakers scattered around the house but they weren’t cutting it when connecting via Bluetooth to play vinyl. This one certainly does! Really good!
