Must buy for Betta Fish
I recently lost my previous Betta fish due to fin rot and I took extra measures this time to prevent fin rot as much as possible. A quick google search told me daphnia is a great food for fish fin growth as well as just a good food option. The first image is a before and the second is a after. If you can’t tell the difference, his fins are much fuller and the translucent ends in the second photo is absolutely growth. This food 100% is a positive factor for fish fin growth. I also noticed his colors got brighter and he seems extremely healthy. Now I will say, I bought him from Petsmart which he probably wasn’t really happy in and I brought him into a great tank so just keep that in mind. I also feed my fish pellets, dried blood worms, and flakes to have a diverse diet and do weekly water changes. These are all things you should do too if you want the healthiest fish possible and are outside factors for what may affect the results. I 1000% recommend this food for betta fish owners.

GUPPIES AND SHRIMPS LOVES THIS
My Neocaridina shrimp absolutely love this food! They even swim to the top of the tank to eat it, which is something I haven't seen them do with other foods. It's clear that this product is high-quality and highly appealing to them. I highly recommend it to other shrimp keepers looking for a reliable and enjoyable food option for their pets.

A Great (but Expensive) Laxative for My Betta!
The Hikari Freeze-Dried Daphnia is a great product to use for your fish. I purchased this item because PetCo ran out in their store near me, so I had to search online. In this review, however, I will explain my experience using this product on my Betta (Aleister). Pros: - My Betta does not require much food; therefore, my product has lasted since January 24 (when it was delivered to me). It has been about two months, and the container still needs to be emptied. I feed him tiny bits since he tends to get bloated quickly, which could be a me-thing. - The quality of the food is excellent. My Betta always eats the portions I give him without hesitation. - The Daphnia floats on the surface, and I have not seen it sink to the bottom since I have been feeding Aleister. - The packaging is sturdy and keeps the Daphnia inside with no problem. The Daphnia appears to stay fresh, too, as I have not seen signs of it going wrong (or maybe Aleister is just gluttonous.) - The slider is excellent, too, as I do not need to unscrew the whole top to get some food out. Cons: - I wonder if it is because Bettas have small stomachs (approximately the size of their eye!) or if it is the ingredients inside the Daphina. Still, I can only feed Aleister specks of the Daphnia because it bulges his stomach quickly. This becomes a problem because the Daphina is generally soft so I have to try and find the hard specks to put it on my finger and drop it in the tank. - While the large packaging is excellent for holding a large amount of Daphnia, it can be an issue for those who need space. I live in a college dorm, so I cannot fit the container inside a drawer. I have to put it on one of the shelves, which, surprisingly, takes up more room than necessary. Recommendations: - Have various size options for the Daphnia. This product is $12.09 (excluding the current discount), which is extremely expensive for fish food (not including the shipping costs). Since many fish owners with different types of fish purchase this product, some individuals will use up the Daphnia quickly or, like me, very slowly. This would be great as I only have one fish to care for, so I do not need this giant bottle when I only use it when Aleister has constipation. There should be an option for a smaller bottle for medical uses, as I mentioned before, for being used as a laxative for fish and not solely for food. - As many other users mentioned before, the Daphnia can get messy when trying to feed fish. I have to use the slider halfway because the hole that the food comes from is too large and makes a mess in my tank. - For the lid, I recommend different options. For example, purchasing a container with multiple smaller holes instead of a hole should be another option, like a salt shaker-type variation. Conclusion: To conclude, Hikari's Freeze Dried Daphnia product is an excellent choice to use as a laxative for your fish (Betta), and I would buy from this manufacturer again. Hikari has a monopoly over Daphina fish food products, so you are forced to buy from this company. If they created other variations of the Daphnia with lower prices, that would be fantastic! However, if another business made Daphnia cheaper and is already established as well-known and reputable, then I would switch over. However, at the moment, Hikari is my go-to choice.

Fish give it a big thumbs up
Well, they would if they had thumbs. However, they will tell you that they are in love. I fed it first in my 55g community tank. I saw it was very powdery and yet I still overpoured it in. Cloud of powder on the surface of the water. I thought huge mistake. Fish though that heaven had just delivered sheer delight. Fish that never go to the top were racing to the water top. My kuhli loaches, that rarely come out these days, suddenly were racing around, eating anything drifting in the current. This must be a super addiction drug for fish. They knew it was in the water and they couldn't get enough. While the results in my betta and friends tank wasn't quite as dramatic (nothing is dramatic in that tank), I also poured a lot less in. Molly fry were happy at the top and the tetras were racing around, tracking down any morsel that was carried downward by the current. In the nano tank, the neons didn't race up to the top but I did see them break from the school to get them some goodies. All in all, I can't say I have ever fed a food that had such a dramatic reaction. They won't be getting it daily but it is a nice food to add to their mix. Even fish appreciate a little variety in their diet.

Bought for sick betta
My betta fish wasn't eating much so we got this. He did end up eating which was great. Unfortunately he had an infection and didn't make it, but, it was great for getting our picky old man to eat in his latlst bit of life. Huge bottle for one little guy. We will be getting a new friend soon and I'll make sure he gets some as well! I cannot review on taste, but it must have been good because he ate it all! Just a tiny bit will do for a betta!

Betta Fish Loves This Food, Fixed Fin Blow Out and Constipation, Good Price for a Large Container
After having constipation problems with my betta fish, as well him having holes in his fins due to fin blow out (flaring too much) caused by his reflection, I wanted to find a natural remedy, not medications, to hopefully fix his problems. After reading multiple reviews and betta fish forums, I found that Daphnia would help in minor cases of both of these. Daphnia acts as a mild laxative for betta fish, is high in protein and certain vitamins and minerals betta fish need to flourish, and speeds up the fin healing process. After 3 feeds of this Daphnia, my betta fish is active once again with no bloated belly and zero holes to be found! This product amazed me at how great it worked on my betta fish, not to mention he loves this food! The product was a lot larger than expected and probably will last me at least a year, so the price seemed a bit more reasonable. Even if your fish does not have these problems, as a preventative measure, feeding Daphnia to them just once a week will promote good fin health and overall wellness, and keep them regular!

Tiny flakes
Got this for my tetra & female betta. It stays afloat om the water for quite some time, which is a plus, but the flakes are absolutely tiny. My fish have figured out how to make it work, but it took a few days for them to adjust to such small flakes when they were used to dried blood worms before.

Good
I have pigmy and Albino corydora, rummynose, otocinclus, porkchop rasbora, and neons. And they all go really crazy with this. It's kind of very fine and little lumps together and they flot instead of sinking right away. That is good for top to mid level fish. For the bottom feeders it's not really recommended as it won't reach the bottom in the water flow. But Overall my fish loved it so much so I'm.

Great Stuff
My Electric Blue Rams are loving this food. You sprinkle it on lightly and it mostly floats on the surface. My rams went to it right away and seem to be happily eating, leaving and coming back to snack more. Careful though, it does sprinkle out quickly.

Good product
One of my betta likes it but the other one don't want none of it :P So it's a 50/50 chance if you fish will like it or not or maybe I just have betta that are picky

Wrong choice For small or medium sized fishes
This product is not suitable for small or medium sized fishes like angels, gold fishes, discus fishes. This product is in the no returnable policy category and Amazon will not give you any refund for you. You can use this only for tiny fishes like very small babies. Not satisfied this product. Don’t buy it unless you have a very specific requirement. Most of my baby fishes in the farm is also not taking it. It’s in the fine powder form and it’s diluting in water soon and they can’t even see it!!! It’s a costly product it’s not worth for us. Contacted Amazon support regarding this but didn’t receive a positive response on this matter so far!!!
