Easy-to-Use Button Maker – Fun and Simple!
I recently got this button maker, and I have to say—it’s such a fun and easy tool to use! It does take a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but once you do, it becomes second nature. The process is smooth, and the buttons come out looking great every time. One of the best things about this set is that it comes with a tool to make perfect circle cutouts, which makes the whole process even easier. No more guessing or uneven edges! The materials feel sturdy, and the machine itself is well-made. If you’re into crafts, DIY projects, or just want to make custom buttons for fun or business, I highly recommend this button maker. It’s simple, effective, and super enjoyable to use!

A great investment and so much fun!
I was going back and forth between this button maker and another one and finally decided on this one. It's metal so it's much sturdier than the all plastic button makers and I'mnot worried about it breaking any time soon. I got 1.25inch and it's a great starter size. I made a few buttons amd quickly fell in love. It's super easy to use and comes with great instructions. The cutter it came with is not great and takes a bit of practice but I just bought a separate big hole punch one. It comes with all the supplies you need to make sooooo many buttons. I'm honestly addicted and so happy I got this one.

One star for non existant customer service
At first, we were excited to get the machine. It came with a package of plastic and plenty of 58" buttons and backs, which are not great quality but suffice. We got the 58" machine, which means we have to use the washer that comes with the machine for larger buttons. There is no option to make smaller button sizes. Keep that in mind when you order if you plan to make smaller buttons. Due to confusing instructions, we watched online tutorials to try to figure out how to make the machine work. The tutorials are all for different machines. It looks easy but you have to get the right combination and anytime we add a design to the center, the plastic never grasps the button back. The one single button we got to work was blank, with no design in the center. Also, you may want heavier paper or a photo printer for your designs. Regular printer paper doesn't seem to work. If the paper is too thick, it doesn't work, either. When I contacted the company, they asked me to send them a video of us using the machine. I told them "No!" I'm not taking a video of my home and children to send to some unknown company. They then closed the ticket within a week of contact because I didn't upload a video to them. They don't refund money. They don't seem to replace defective items or cover broken machines. Customer service is limited to "upload a video so we can make something up." It's a 50$ paper weight at this point, which is dissapointing. We'll try again eventually for button number two, but we won't purchase from this company ever again. There are better products out there. If/when you cant get it to work, it's great. We're planning to try with better materials from the art store instead of the cheap materials it comes with.

When It Works...
If you're looking for high volume and production speed/consistency, I'd recommend a different machine. If you're a hobbyist and/or don't mind a high defect rate, you may consider the hassle worth the comparatively low price--though I would highly recommend NOT using this machine on original artwork or photos to avoid losing them; prints and copies only. I DO like the number of peices, the cheap but functional circle cutter, the low per-piece button part refills, the almost-completely steel construction of the machine, and the ease of use. Where things grind to a halt for me is the defect rate. The ones that are sandwiched correctly look fantastic, but only 9 out of my last batch of 33 (~27%) were completely successful. Many of the defects are fairly minor and the button can be more or less CAREFULLY salvaged with a pair of flat jewelry pliers, but nearly as many are still obviously deformed (front misshapen and/or edges ripped) and will need to be sold at a discount if at all. One was a complete loss with the halves failing to attach on the first press, and doing so incredibly badly on the second. I'm still experimenting with speed and pressure to attempt to increase the success rate, but consistency is difficult as fast and increased levels of force make the machine shift and rock forward on its base. After I've sold enough buttons to cover my cost, I'll likely be purchasing a higher quality machine.

Tips for this button maker
This button maker machine is very easy to learn and use. It is sturdy and makes professional looking buttons. It comes with everything you need to make buttons including a book of cartoon designs. Tips: You will need to cut out a 68mm circle of your design but only 58mm of your design will be displayed on top of the button. The rest wraps along the sides. It comes with a 68mm cutter. Make sure you only have one single piece of film for the top of the button. The film sticks together easily. Sometimes static cling will shift your design as you press down on the top piece, so do it slowly checking for that. Press all the way down till you hear a click. Keep the top of your design and the top of the back piece with the pin at the same orientation on both sides. If you hear a crinkle noise, that means the film got bunched up or didn’t attach correctly, so stop immediately, maybe you can save it. Practice till you get it right.

I got this button press and kit to make some buttons for my daughters school and to make some cosplay buttons. The machine works great! I have probably made 150 buttons and I've only had maybe 5 failures? And they were all user error or not pushing down hard enough *see below I think it's mostly technique that yields good buttons. One important thing to do is to use a good template for your paper graphics, it should be about the same size as the mylar. If you make the paper design too small, it won't fold under the button correctly. I made mine 40mm in diameter for the 32mm button machine and it works great. Tips: Make sure you only use regular photocopy or laser paper. Don't use thicker paper stock. Make sure you only have one clear piece of mylar on top, not two. Static can make them stick together. Press down all the way on the lever, slowly and firmly. Doing it fast yields errors. When I press down on the backing with the safety pin, there's a noticeable point where the press stops, but then you can press it further. Press down ALL THE WAY to ensure a good tight seal. Good luck!

Elle a bien plu à ma fille. Dommage que la notice ne soit pas traduite en français. On s’est tout de même débrouillés.

I bought my daughter the button maker because she wanted to make buttons but the back doesn’t stay on the buttons so it’s useless , the maker itself seems to work but we can’t know until we can actually make buttons
