KitchenAid KFP0718ER Food Processor, 7_Cup, Empire Red

I’m a KitchenAid fan. This one matches my little 3 1/2 cup chopper, my stand mixer and my hand held mixer - all Empire Red. Beautiful color. Not the garish red of some appliances. I love that it stores all the accessories inside since I recently downsized and would have trouble finding a place to store them. As with all KitchenAid appliances, it works like a charm. My only complaint is that it did not come with a user manual. The only thing in the box was a little pamphlet talking about safety. I also read that it came with a dough blade but there is only one. This one is labeled as a multi blade so I’m assuming it is dual use but as another reviewer has mentioned, it would be nice to get some more information. I thought maybe you could download a user manual off the web but I couldn’t find one.

I was a little skeptical about the parts, especially the main shaft to the motor assembly as many of the parts are plastic, but so far after a good year of use there are no complaints. All the parts are easy to disassemble and put into the dishwasher. Cleaning gets a little tricky as there are some small areas where the parts are not 100% sealed so a rinse is sometimes required to really get in there, but other than that no issues here either. Only minor complaint was the dicer/grater. If the pieces are too small the grating blade will spin too fast and the vegetables will just jump around so just make sure to leave things large enough so you can push them through the entry, and allow enough force on the grating disc to cut. Overall very happy with the unit and purchase, and while I am not the biggest fan of gears and other items made of plastic, I will give kudos to the design team for using plastic but making it robust enough that it has almost no signs of wear till this day.

A dough blade is mentioned in the product description and in the question and answer it is stated that a dough blade comes with the food processor. This isn't correct. No dough blade is provided.
