Very good beginners printer
Wanted a 3D printer for a while and always fancied trying the resin ones over filament. Completely new to this hobby and already hooked! I had a few prints fail at the start which I believe was down to the temperatures in my garage and I managed to get round it with a heating belt from amazon to heat up the vat to keep the liquid warm. Since then I've been experimenting with different STL files. This printer wouldn't read STL files so had to convert them to GOO files on the voxeldance app which you get free membership with your printer purchase. The printer is very user friendly and I would say if you have basic computer skills you can set up your prints as voxeldance can pretty much do everything for you like auto support systems etc. If you feel like giving it ago but scared it's too complicated don't.. A few days I got my head round the basics I'm not saying I'm brilliant but I'm happily getting some successful prints now which is motivating me. If anyone has any questions feel free to message a fellow newbie. Goodluck

Worked very well until I tried to change the FEP sheet.
This machine printed quite well until the first time I tried to change the FEP sheet, which is a normal, routine maintenance task. (about every 50 prints or so, depending on various factors) On this printer the screws clamping the FEP sheet holder together are of such dreadfully poor quality that several of the hex heads simply rounded out the first time I tried to undo them. This made them impossible to remove properly meaning the FEP sheet could not be changed. I was using the tool provided for the purpose and I was working carefully, I have many years experience working with small and delicate mechanical objects and I am quite certain I was handling the task appropriately - I've done it many times before on other printers.. It is necessary to change the FEP sheet regularly and it is my considered opinion that NONE of the 14 smaller screws would have survived more than 2 changes of the FEP sheet. The only choices I currently have are to drill the screws out and look for some better quality replacements, spend £40 on a new resin tank, or bin the whole thing and buy something else. I am minded to bin the whole thing as it seems to me that if Elegoo use such dreadfully poor quality parts, there will be other things that are highly likely to go exactly the same way. I had been happy with Elegoo products but will not recommend them again and will replace all our Elegoo printers with something else when the time comes. I am extremely disappointed with this. PS - I just did a rudimentary test on some of the removed screws and found in each case, the threads stripped at less than 30% of the loading a better quality screw of the exact same dimensions could tolerate. And all this to save a couple of Cents per machine. Finally, the wifi connection to the printer is temperamental to put it mildly, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Although I already knew that before I bought the thing, so I can't really complain about that.

LCD screen fault after 4 prints - UPDATE
I had a faulty screen which failed after a few initial prints. I reported this to Elegoo and they sent out a replacement part rapidly, and it arrived within 1 week. I've since replaced the part, and the printer is working well again. The prints are very good quality, and the linux based OS is excellent compared to proprietary software. I would recommend this printer for those with less space to print but still want high quality prints.

Excellent first 3D printer
I have wanted to get into 3D printing for over a year and was saving up to get the UniFormation GKtwo as it seemed the best one for my miniature printing. However I also was impressed on this one's reviews on Youtube so as it was my first printer I went with the cheaper one just in case I did not take to it: less money wasted. I read the instructions which appear to be written by AI or someone who doesn't have good English. Despite this I managed to level the bed and get ready to print the test model. WOW it came out perfect. I left all settings for this as the factory defaults and intended to alter them afterwards as necessary but to my amazement the test model; was sharp, crisp and as far as I could see, perfect. It is quiet, no smell and takes my around 1-2 hrs to make a model/plate of models with the default settings so quite fast. So I made a dwarf. Perfect again. Then I made a Japanese Konflikt '47 officer. Perfect again. I made a gladiator. Another perfect. So, I have not touched the settings at all and don't intend to as I will only mess it right up and regret touching them. So far I have had NO bad prints, which was a worry. I am in seventh heaven with this machine and am now printing round the clock as I no longer need to buy any miniatures ever. What a Godsend this really is. I cannot recommend this enough. It is perfection indeed! I still intend to buy myself the UniFormation GKtwo, but this can definitely wait for the moment and I will spend all my spare time making models for the forseable future. I recommend Chitubox slicer, which comes on the provided usb stick. Don't bother subscribing, use the free version as it does everything you will need. It does take a little while to work your way around it but after making maybe 3 print runs I can do everything with it that I can imagine I ever would need to. 11/10

I expected better.
The actual platform size is 160cm * 96cm (that’s why I had to buy a new washer). The outlines of the objects are not as sharp as with the Mars 3 Pro. The added software (voxeldance tango) does not work properly on the network. The printer freezes when I send a file to it.

Faulty machine and atrocious customer support.
I bought a Mars 4 Ultra, not my first or only resin printer. During initial set up it would not level the build plate properly so I contacted Elegoo support which was a complete waste of time. Just endless requests to try leveling again, send photos or videos. My responses to them were either not read properly or ignored. Returned it to Amazon and had a refund within a few days. My advice check out Elegoo's reviews on trust pilot before you buy, I wish I had. If you buy an Elegoo and have problems with straight out of the box, don't bother with Elegoo support just send it back.

High failure rate
Failure rate really high, didn’t produce one successful print apart from the rook. Tried changing bottom layer and normal layer settings and still nothing. Have returned and opted for Mars 5 ultra. Will wait and see how that one goes

Do not buy
Absolutely useless, rarely creates any successful prints. I've had to replace the film countless times and wasted so much money on resin for failed prints. Save your money and buy something else
