new repair
I recently used the Tile Repair Kit, Ceramic Tile Repair Kit (Color Match), and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. This kit is a game-changer for fixing chipped and cracked tiles. Whether you're dealing with porcelain, ceramic, or acrylic tiles, this product is versatile and works wonderfully across different surfaces. Pros: Easy to Use: The instructions were simple to follow, and the kit comes with everything you need for a successful repair. I was able to patch up a few chips and cracks in no time. Color Match: The color matching is spot on. The filler blends seamlessly with the tiles, making the repairs virtually invisible. You wonโt have to worry about mismatched shades standing out. Strong Adhesion: The adhesive in the repair kit is impressive. Once applied, it hardens quickly and stays in place, providing long-lasting durability without peeling or cracking. Versatile: Not only does it work on ceramic and porcelain, but it also repairs acrylic tiles, which makes it a great all-in-one solution for different surfaces around the house. Cost-effective: Itโs a cost-effective way to repair minor damages without having to replace an entire tile, saving both time and money. Cons: Application Time: While the product works well, you need to wait for it to cure completely, which can take a few hours. But considering the strong results, itโs a small trade-off. Small Repair Areas: This kit is great for small chips or cracks, but larger damage might require more extensive work or a different solution. Conclusion: Overall, the Tile Repair Kit is a solid choice for anyone looking to repair minor tile damage at home. Itโs easy to use, effective, and offers a seamless finish. I would definitely recommend this product for small repairs and touch-ups.

It works well for repairs.
The enamel in my kitchen sink had started to thin and get scratched over the years. My parents bought the house in the 1960s so I know how we used the sink over the years. We never did a lot to damage the enamel but time and use apparently causes it to wear away. I tried this product to see if it would work to fill in and repair the scratches and thin spots. It did and worked well to fill everything in. The one thing that was a challenge was getting it smoothed out. Even sanding it doesn't really work very well. Still the sink looks a lot better and it will be interesting to see how long it takes for the rough spots to smooth out. I would definitely use this product again if I need it. I just wish I could figure out a better way to smooth it off.

Good stuff easy to use
Used this on the side of a tub that had chipped a few years ago and I seen this while I was shopping and ordered it. When I got it and started to work on the tub I had to clean some surface rust along the crack and there was more loose porcelain but it just needed a little love with a Dremel. After the clean up it was very easy to mix and apply and I was able to spread it smooth out and needed only a little sanding. The color match was good at first but turned a little cream color after awhile.

Turns yellow over time.
Turns yellow over time, but works great as a repair for a cracked/broken tile and sink. I used it for a sink repair around the overflow that was chipping away, and a broken tile on a window sill.

Waste of Money
Unless you have simple easy master colors like White, Black, Brown, Blue, etc. don't bother. Color matching anything else is next to impossible. After settling on something that still wasn't remotely close. We applied it to the damaged floor tile and though it seemed to have stuck after it sat for a couple of days, sanded it and thought it was done. A week later it came off.

Easier than replacing the tile!
Had a new kitchen installed and the tile guy was a little overzealous with the grinder and ended up chipping one of the tiles while fixing the adjacent one. Rather than go through the process of replacing another 24โx 12โ tile I used the kit and it turned out great. You can hardly see the difference. For me it was worth the cost.

Takes some practice and patience
Comes with a color mixing chart. Helpful, but the amount of pigment needed is so minuscule itโs easy to over-tint. This set has a good selection of pigment in nice dropper bottles you can shake (and should) to mix before dispensing. Part A is bright white, Part B is a grayish color. Mixed together itโs fairly white. But start adding pigments and youโd better buckle up! I was just needing to patch some chips in my ceramic tile so I didnโt need much material. Adding too much tint is so easy to do you can see in the photos I had to scrape down the cardboard and start over. I was literally dipping the tip of a toothpick into the tint and then dipping that in the base material- pic 4 shows this. It was too much. So on round two I learned to dip the toothpick into the tint and then drag it on the cardboard to pull some off BEFORE dipping in the base material. That worked better. I think I finally got it, the photo with the blue tape shows my final tint. Once I sand it Iโm confident it will blend in nicely. Be prepared to move fast. Once it starts to dry out it gets an elastic texture and doesnโt stick as well. Also on shallow pits in the tile it didnโt stay once sanded but pulled out. If youโre looking to fill bigger chips and cracks with a bit of width to them it should work fine.
