"High Quality Product - Reasonable Price - Trusted Brand" (full review)
Shipping: I ordered these with the expectation of receiving them about 5 or 6 days later. I ended up receiving them 2 days later. This was a nice little unexpected bonus! Price: $159.99 for a legit wireless set is a pretty good deal. SteelSeries is still trying to sell their wireless Siberia model for $255.99. The number of cheap wireless Logitech sets may tempt you, but the reported poor sound quality and horrible battery life should deter you. Packaging: As always, the packaging from HyperX is clean and minimalistic. You get everything in one nice little box. I observed no damage or indents to the box upon opening. Product Appearance: Mostly black, which I like. Has the option for a minimal lighting effect, which can be turned off to save battery life. I enjoy the matte finish as opposed to the high gloss of some headsets. Appearance is always something that HyperX gets right. Sound Quality: You need to keep in mind that this headset is wireless. That means you will be able to tell the difference if you are used to playing games while wearing $400 top of the line wired sets. But for me, a normal dude who isn’t a sound technician, these have great sound quality. I have mostly used them for playing FPS (Fortnite, Overwatch) and also watched 2 movies while wearing them. The sound quality feels the same as my wired HyperX set. Microphone Quality: My friends have no complaints about my volume or voice quality while in calls together. Big bonus points for the fact that the mic is detachable. You may not like this option if you are prone to losing small objects. But I personally like taking the mic out. Battery: I have about 25 hours on these bad boys and have not charged. Of course I have had the red lights turned off. Maybe I should have waited for them to die before writing this part of the review? Sorry about that. Range: I can head to the kitchen for a fresh Crispy Boy or go into the bathroom with these on and have no disconnection issues. I have not tested further than about 30 yards. Feel & Comfort: Much more comfortable that my Cloud2 set. Even with glasses, they are still very comfortable, which is the main problem I have with most gaming headsets. Light weight but still snug. No annoyance or irritation after a long gaming session. Features: Most notable feature to me is the volume control on the set. The dial is larger, which I like and has a more tactile feel, as compared to other sets. What I Don’t Love: Please be aware - this issue is probably just a tech issue on my end. I am unable to get sound through my desk speakers when I have the USB dongle plugged in. Even when I have the headset turned off!! I have to unplug the USB dongle from my computer in order to get sound on my desk speakers. Again, this is probably just a sound setting that I need to look at and tweak. TLDR: Got to my door super quick. Reasonable price for wireless. Looks great. Feels great. Sounds great. Mic works well. Battery lasts for at least 25 hours. Really comfortable.

Great wireless headset!
I bought these to replace an old Playstation Gold headset. I needed a few features, namely wireless on PC/PS4, wired with a removable cable, and good battery life. I chose this particular headset because it had everything I needed, plus it wasn't too gaudy (a lot of headsets are huge, too colorful, or too flashy; the Golds were pretty minimalist and, by comparison to others, so is this one). The wireless works great on PC/PS4. The LEDs lighting up the logo are not too distracting, but thankfully you can turn them off (since you're not seeing them anyway) and save some battery life. The fact that I can use it wired with a removable cable is a plus in case the battery is dead and I don't feel like charging it. However, I have to say that the battery is tremendous. They tell you to keep the volume at or below 50% and have the LEDs turned off for best performance, and I usually do, although volume fluctuates depending on the application. I've used them for about 8 hours straight and used up maybe 35-40% of the battery? I haven't really tested them from full to empty to see, but I'd say you can easily get 20+ hours out of them which is great, considering I'll never use them that long, and it lets you forgo charging them every time you take them off. My Golds were topping out around 6 hours so this is a huge improvement. There is software control for the headset, you have to download HyperX's NGenuity software. On their website, at least at the time of buying this, there were two different versions depending on the product you have. Just pick the one that works with the Cloud Flight and you should be good to go. The software doesn't do much; it mostly controls headset/mic volume levels which you can adjust either on the headset itself or in an application. But the useful feature for me is that it tells you the battery percent in the taskbar in 5% increments. So you can in fact get a fairly precise battery reading despite what some people say. The comfort of the headset is really nice. I have no problem wearing it for 8 hours straight (haven't needed to wear it any longer). It feels good around my head and around my ears. Given that the cups cover my ears, it blocks out a lot of sound, but not everything. Of course, it's not noise-cancelling, so it's not meant to. The cups can rotate to make the headset more flat and that way you can wrap it around your neck and have the cups flat against your chest. I thought it might feel weird having a big headset wrapped around my neck hanging off it, but actually it's fairly comfortable to lay it like that. The headset is lighter than it looks so it doesn't feel like it's pulling at my neck. Not that it's an afterthought, but to me sound wasn't as important as some other features when choosing which headset to buy, because at this price point, they're all "good enough". Thankfully, the sound in the Cloud Flight is really good (to my ears) and sounds very clean. I'm no audiophile, so I can't say it's amazing or anything, but it does sound better than the Golds in my opinion, so no complaints there. The detachable boom mic is pretty nice. It's one of those flexible ones, so it doesn't have flip to mute (instead you just press in the left ear cup to mute), but you do get the benefit of being able to flex it however you want, and you could use your own mic if you had a better one. Although, from my testing the audio going through the mic came out almost crystal clear, at least before it gets compressed through a chat app. All in all, having had this headset for 2 months now, I'm confident giving it 5/5 stars. It has a good subtle look, it sounds good, it feels good, and it lasts a long time.

Best Wireless Headset I Have Ever Owned!
Coming from the G230, then the G933 for a while after it broke, and back to the G230 after 5 years, having to sit behind a TV in a corner of a living room was overbearing. With these on, I could barely hear the TV and my clicky Cherry Blue keyboard! These pair of headphones are the best ones I have ever owned. Also, the first one in my collection to have pleather cushions. The headphones are very comfortable, the earpads can slightly touch the outer edges of my ears, but it is not to the point that it becomes annoying. The pressure is light, but I think a little more clamping force would better improve the fit. The headset is light enough to not drop when tilting your head up or down, which was a big problem on the G933 that I have owned. The LEDs have 3 modes: always-on, breathing, and off. I have mine's turned off because nobody would ever see me with flashy headphones that glow red. Also, it maximizes the battery life up to 30 hours. I used these headphones for up to 12 hours, and it only went down 10% (using the HyperX NGenuity software)! The mic quality, comparing it to the G230, sounds slightly muffled. It is not studio quality, but it does the job. It is also very flexible and is detachable. To mute the mic, there's a paddle switch on the left earcup, which a double-beep means muted, and a single beep is unmuted. The range is good as well, and I can go all the way to the other room across my computer, which is around 20 feet as advertised. I can finally walk around without missing out on lectures. The sound is good as well, and all of the games I play sound superb. Overall, this is a good headset, and I don't have to worry about being tethered to my desk.

Great pair of headphones, Just a few things I wish HyperX had included...
These are absolutely phenomenal. I have generally been a fan of HyperX headphones since I got my Cloud 2s a few years ago. Eventually, I got tired of having the cable get run over by my chair so I decided to pick up a pair of wireless headphones. Low and behold HyperX came out with a wireless variant of their Cloud series headphones. A few of the things I really like about this pair, aside from the fact that they are wireless, is their ability to almost completely isolate me from anything that isn't my game. I had been playing both Battlefront 2 and Jedi Fallen Order with these and it's a wonderful experience. I also really like the fact that they don't touch my ears when I'm playing. One of the largest problems I have had with gaming headphones in the past is that the drivers will rest on the outer edges of my ears. This ends up causing me pain and fatigue in my ears after about half an hour. Granted, I have pretty large ears but these fit great on my head and allow me to wear them for hours on end without needing any breaks. While I do love these headphones, I do have a few issues with them. One of the things I watched while researching what headphones to buy talked about the amazing range of these guys, while I will say the range is pretty good, it's highly overhyped. In a normal house with decent insulation, I would say you're lucky to get a good 15 feet away from your computer without losing the signal. Any distance after that is unbearable to listen to as it will skip in and out frequently. I would say if you want to take advantage of the headphone transmitter's range, use these in a more open space than a modern finished basement. The other thing I had a problem with is the fact that the only way to use my phone with these is through an auxiliary cable that plugs into the headset. This highly dampened my excitement upon receiving these. While yes the transmitter does offer better range, I saw plenty of other headphones that used either Bluetooth or one pair I had used an auxiliary input on the transmitter itself. This allowed it to make use of the range of the transmitter that the other pair came with, as well as keeping you from having a cable plugged into your headphones. Overall, I think these are a great pair of headphones. They work well and the sound quality is great. I just suggest avoiding using these with a phone as you will have to use a cable to do so.

Fantastic Wireless Connection - Performed Reliably For 2+ Years
EDIT: Original review below. After almost two and a half years of reliable service, I will be retiring my current HyperX Cloud Flight headset. The leatherette finish on the ear cushions has been rubbing off and the battery life has been degrading somewhat over the last few months. Absolutely no degradation in wireless connection. I've dropped this headset a million times on to hardwood floors and it has kept ticking through all of the abuse. Very impressed with the performance of this headset over the last couple of years and will be purchasing again! At $100, $10 more than previously purchased, this headset is still a deal. Mic is still garbage, I don't even know where the mic arm is as I detached it from the headset when I originally set it up. I wouldn't be surprised if I threw it in the trash. Don't get this headset for the mic, but for everything else; it has performed flawlessly! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm absolutely impressed by the wireless capability of this wireless gaming headset, and I got it on sale for $90! This headset originally launched for $159.99, what a steal. I live in a 100 y/o farmers house with lath and plaster walls and traditional hardwood floors with carpet. My bedroom is on the second story of this house. When I say I'm going to be right back, I leave the headset on, walk out of my room, down a flight of stairs, through the living room and dining room, down another flight of stairs and into the basement and there's absolutely no cut outs, no static, no signal degradation of any kind. WOW! The headset connects to my computer through a plug-and-play USB dongle that's plugged in to the top of my computer. I cannot say enough about the wireless capabilities of this headset. Comfort is nice. I have a big head and this headset doesn't put much pressure on the sides of my head, the ear cushions are comfortable for long gaming sessions (8+hrs) and the headset itself is lightweight. You'll forget that its on and the sound stage and quality is excellent. Sound isolation is good as well, if you dont have live feedback from your mic, you wont be able to hear your own voice very well, especially with the volume turned up. I used Astro A40 TR's previously for a point of reference. Lets get something straight. The mic is garbage. Sound quality from your end of the mic is not good (then again me and the people I play with all use high quality mics, Blue Yeti anyone?) and your team will definitely notice. One thing I do have to note as a con, and I feel this is more of my location and the lack of good insulation in my house, this headset runs hot. I can definitely feel the heat build up in the cups and it gets mildly uncomfortable sometimes. If you live in a hot climate without a/c or good airsealing and insulation (I've been an insulation tech for the last 4 years) this headset will make your ears feel hot as it is closed back. All in all, very impressed with this headset for the price. I probably would have paid full price just for the quality of the wireless connection alone. Hope this helps!

5 Years and still going strong
I have had these headphones since 2018 and they still work great. The main reason that I haven't felt the need to switch is that the ear cups and top pad are replaceable, so whenever they start to get worn, I just replace them. Because HyperX uses the same earcup size for all of the headphones, there are a ton of great third party options to choose from in terms of earcups. Another reason is that the audio and mic work great even after all this time. I have had zero audio issues in 5 years of owning these. The sound is great and I rarely turn these up past 30%. I also really like that I can charge these while I use them. There is a bit of a hiss in the background while charging, but it is barely noticeable. I have a couple of minor nitpicks for using these in 2024. 1. While the mic is great, microphone tech has gotten a lot better since 2018, so it would be nice to have a better mic. 2. MicroUSB is annoying to use. This device is the only reason that I still have a microUSB charger in my house. Wish it was USB Type C. 3. The mute mic button is the entire left side. It would be much more convenient to just have it be a button like the power button. 4. There is no active noise cancellation. This isn't a big deal to me since I like to be aware of my surroundings, but there are times when it would be nice to have. These are just minors gripes, and none of them will have me replacing this headset anytime soon. There are newer versions, but until they fix all four of these, I have no reason to upgrade from this great headset.

Have your freedom and great sound.
I missed wireless and glad to be back. I rocked a G930 for a long time, before getting a Sennheiser PC37X. That was a great headset, great sound, so comfortable, awesome mic, but it was wired. After time and constantly running over the wire, I had to try going back to wireless. The Cloud Flight has no set up required. Plug in the USB adapter and turn them on. They are really comfortable for long gaming sessions and have awesome battery life to keep up with them. In the summer on a hot day, it does sweat a little, something I don't get with cloth ear pads, but these are like a faux leather or vinyl type material. I'm curious on long term wear on them, but for now other than the slight sweating on hot days, they are great. They get really loud without having any sound issues as popping or crackling. They are also better for PUBG than my Sennheiser's were and I am able to hear footsteps further out. The not so good. I wish they had software so I can adjust them, but I don't really need to much, the main thing is wanting the LED lights off by default. When I turn them on, I need to double tap the power button to go to the off setting for the lights. This is the position they get 30 hrs of battery life. If they are on, it's closer to 16. I can't see them when I am wearing them, so what do I care about having lights on? So that's minor and so is the other issue, the microphone, It's not as good as my Sennheiser's were, but that was to be expected. It's a notch down from them, but my friends can hear me fine, I'm not just as clear. I did have to toy with the settings to get them to my friends liking (noise supression, echo, boost, etc), but now no complaints from them. I love that it easily is removed (the mic) too. EDIT: UPDATE!!!! There has been a firmware update that keeps your light setting now. So if you turn it off, it will turn off a few seconds after turning the headphones on and keep that setting. This helps you get the 30 hrs suggested battery life. Also I bought a mic boom cover on Amazon for cheap, like $6 for a 5 pack and it works great during those hot days that I have a fan blowing on me. Did several recording test and it did not pick up the fan until I put it on high, even than it was barely audible not bothering my friends.

Good headphones, not perfect, but for the price, close enough.
I've had these headphones for 3 months now, and overall I am happy with them. There are a few things I would like to see the company change, one of which I'm sure could be done with a firmware update. The good stuff about these headphones: Wear: They are really comfortable. I can wear these for hours and they do not bother me. I've had other over the ear headphones that would start to hurt my ears after awhile or press into my head in certain spots and they just didn't feel good for long time wear. These are great when it comes to a long session of whatever you want to do: gaming, listening to music, watching movies, making calls, etc. Sound: The sound is really good. It is not going to compare with a $500 pair of headphones, but these sound really good. I don't listen to a lot of heavy bass, so I can't speak to how they perform in that aspect, but for light bass they do a good job. The rest of the sounds are crisp and clear and I enjoy listening to music, from all genres, with these. Mic: When I use these for calls, no one has any issues hearing what I say, my voice comes through clearly. I haven't tried them in a loud environment, so I don't know if the noise canceling on the microphone is any good, but for carrying a voice it is good quality. I also like that it is detachable so it is not in my face if I am not talking and the flexibility of it so I can make fine adjustments if I need to. Battery: The battery does last a good while if you are not blasting music so you don't have to charge it everyday. Overall good: Comfortable to wear, good sound, good mic and no need to plug it in everyday. The cons of this headset. This is my opinion, and I understand that some will roll their eyes are some of this, or disagree, but this is what I don't like about them: Wear: No cons, they are some of the most comfortable headphones I have owned. Sound: The sound is really good on these...but...they do not get really loud. When I listen to music, I like to turn the volume up at times. For others these may get plenty loud, but not for me. I had a pair of JBL Bluetooth headphones that were around the price of these and they got much louder. If you do not turn your volume up too much, then this will not affect you, but if you are looking to put some volume behind your music, these may not do it. They do get louder if you hardwire them, but that defeats the purpose of buying wireless headphones. Mic: Don't forget to charge these if you want to use the attachable mic, because it doesn't work when they are plugged in. I try to always charge these when they get down to around 30% so I don't have any issues, also for another reason I will touch on later. I have a corded pair of headphones with a mic attached; I'm not sure why they couldn't make the mic work when they are plugged in. Battery: This is my biggest issue with these headphones. The battery last awhile...if...you follow certain rules. Only 50% volume. I'm okay with them rating it that way, it's right in the middle. The battery will last longer if you turn them down, or less if you turn them up, although even when using them at moderate volume I have not gotten 30 hours out of them, so "Up To" is just that, you could get up to 30 hours. My biggest issue with the battery life is they put in big bold letters in the product information up above that the battery will last up to 30 hours, and they do mention the 50% volume part, albeit in smaller letters, but they don't show anything about the LEDs. That is further down in even smaller lettering, but they do mention it in the product description. You cannot turn the LEDs off by default though, they always come on when you turn the headphones on. Now it is not hard to turn them off, and I have seen forums where people post, "How lazy are you, just turn them off." Fair enough, but when I am paying $125 (What I paid when I purchased these.) for something that advertises "Up to 30 hours of battery life", give that to me out of the box. I can set the volume to 50% and it will be there every time I turn them, why can't I have the LEDs off by default? What I put them on my head and turn them on and forget to turn off the LEDs because I can't see them? It's a simple thing to have them off by default and provide the advertised battery life. It's not about the difficulty of turning them off, it's about advertising something, but only if you do this every time you turn them on. That's like selling me a car and saying, "This car gets 30 miles to the gallon, but only if you remember to push this button every time you start it up, if not it only gets 20 miles to the gallon." Connection on low battery: I am not sure if this is just the pair I have received, and goes back to my earlier comment about charging them up when they hit 30%. When my headphones get down to 30%, or less, they will lose connection off and on. When it first happened, I though there was something wrong with the video I was watching. After it happened several times, I looked over at my other screen and saw that the HyperX app was dropping connection. The product says you can be up to 20 meters away, but I am often less than a meter away from the dongle when this occurs. This also leads to not getting anywhere near the 30 hours of battery life on my particular pair, even if I keep the volume down and the LEDs off. Technically they are still powered on, but the last 30% is useless if they will not hold a connection. As I said, that could just be my pair, so take the disconnection problem with a grain of salt. I didn't read all 600+ reviews, but the ones I did read before I purchased these did not mention anything about that, so probably just a bad pair that I received. If you aren't looking to blare music and the LEDs being on by default don't bother you, then these are phenomenal headphones for the price. The comfort alone, being able to wear them for long periods of time, makes it worth it for me. the issues I have are not major, I can charge them while I sleep every few days and keep them charged up, even if I forgot to turn the LEDs off, but I would like to see the manufacturer correct that. I can still listen to my music at a good volume, and if I want it louder, I can use other headphones. For talking to friends and families, watching movies or checking out some videos online, these are my go to headphones due to the comfort.

9 months of heavy use review (2yr update!)
I've had it for 9 months using it nearly daily for several hours. No visible cracking along the headband (which is the weak spot for all other brands I've churned through), no damage to the ear cups or padding. Buttons like the mute mutton and volume rocker still feel like they were new. Importantly they are still comfortable and fairly light for a wireless set. The microphone and audio quality is great, good for discord never had a complaint about being quiet or unintelligible. I did have to put a foam lavalier mic cover over the microphone because I had a fan blowing onto it causing unintended wind noise, the foam fixed that. The battery doesn't really last that long for people using the computer a lot but it's not really a problem. I reviewed this 21 May 2020 and it is now 11 May 2021. In the year between the reviews, the pleather on the ear cups disintegrated and I needed to buy replacement foam ear cups (cheap, and made a big longevity difference). The battery doesn't hold a charge more than an hour or so any more and I'm forced to use it wired. The headband has not cracked which is my usual point of failure but it has lost its tension. Buttons and functions are still working without a hitch, as new. It still works well, however I am now looking for a replacement and strongly considering getting another or the flight-s (hence my return to this review). I stand by my 5 stars as its lasted me nearly 2 years of hard use and still works, I doubt the average user uses their headset as often or as long as I do.
