Not really a dog whistle if you want a silent whistle only a dog can hear. It has a high but not piercing sound so it's not hard on human ears. My dog responds to it well. He is a rescue and I think he was exposed to a whistle before I got him so he is easy to work with. I like it and easy to keep on my key chain, colorful.

Got this whistle to train my dog for an "emergency " come. There have been a few very scary times when we would be on a walk and she would see "her" stray cat friend. She gets REALLY excited to see her friend and if im not expecting it, she has gotten away from me a few times. When this happened she chases the cat wherever it goes and was not responding to the emergency voice cues. When she hears the whistle, she stops in her tracks and comes right back. It doesn't sound like much to my ear but it's been very effective with her. I watched YOUTUBE videos on how to use and train with the whistle..There was also a video that compared the sounds of the different models. I was able.to easily pick out the model that she responded best to. All in all very happy with this purchase. Great tool!!! .

good whistle, well made, my hard of hearing dog responds to it

I was a bit concerned that the picture showed 211 and not 210.5, but the correct 210.5 whistle did arrive. This whistle was recommended to me by a fellow springer hunter, and it works significantly better than the cheap browning whistle I previously purchased. The cost is up there, but I still cheaper than ordering directly from the manufacture with shipping from the UK. Since I can't physically whistle, I find myself grabbing this whistle anytime I take my dog somewhere off leash. It's great to give his whistle command and him come find me from anywhere in the field/farm/etc. I love this whistle so much I ordered a 2nd in a different color.

So I've had mine for 8 months now. And I purchased the version that's good for my dog's hearing. She's a medium sized breed a Boston terrier. I took her to the beach in San Francisco at night. She's been recall trained with the whistle at home. So this was the test, because the ocean waves were constantly loud. It was a little windy too so factor that in. I let her get distracted and wander off as she was sniffing and I walked farther down to the beach in the dark. First, I tried to call her with my voice and I yelled too. She couldn't hear me. With the street lights in the distance I could see a good distance and she was nowhere within sight. I pulled out the whistle chirped it three times. Twice. Way in the distance I could see two lit up eyes heading towards me. There she was, racing towards me. It's my first whistle from Acme. It works. I knew it would.... Acme has been around for a long time for a reason. They can engrave your whistles if you want.

My dog is losing her hearing, but she can hear this whistle. Saves my having to yell at her when I want her to come to me.

Excellent whistle! I do gundog training with my own spaniel and I teach clients as well. This whistle feels great, it's got a good texture (I tend to hold whistles between my teeth). Acme are always a reliable quality but I especially like this style. Also black and pink are my business colours so this is a particular win!

Prima, funktioniert einwandfrei. Hatten vorher eine andere, die hatte einfach ein zu kurzes Mundstück. Hier kann man auch mit Pfeife im Mund noch rufen.
