Review: helpful guide to keep you flexible and toned - I have been looking for a book to work through with my mom to help her gain strength and mobility post knee replacement. This is just what I was looking for. I appreciated how user friendly the book was. There are lots of exercises here and each one has an illustration. The illustrations are large and clear to see, even for someone with poorer eye sight. Everything is explained well and in a clear way. There is also some great tips on developing a routine and staying motivated. THere is a 4 week exercise plan to help you get started. Review: Easy and convenient - I liked how I can adapt the exercises to my physical abilities by doing them in a chair. There is one exercise that as a senior with limited mobility Iโm unable to do and thatโs the side plank. So I skip it. Some seniors probably can do it but not me. Which is ok. My reason for doing this type of exercise is I broke my leg and itโs taking several months to heal so Iโve become very stiff and my muscles have gotten really tight as a result of favoring the leg because of the pain. These chair exercises help me get back to having more flexibility and strength while being safe sitting in a chair for the most part.

Good Exercises for Age 75
I bought this book having tried one of the Chair-Yoga apps. I like the book better because I can take my time and the exercises are pretty straight forward anyhow. I am knocking one star off because someone needs to proof the text before this book is republished. There are several grammatical errors. And the position of the left-hand page numbers should appear on the open side (left edge) of each page like the right-hand page numbers - not on the gutter edge (bound side). This drove me a little nuts. Otherwise the book it's fine.

Could be helpful
Some of the exercises are too hard for a senior to do. I wanted exercises that my mom could do without the chance of losing her balance. Some work for that and some exercises are very complicated.

Pictures and directions are clear and easy to understand and follow
Also the bonus nutrition guide is helpful with plans and help for you to succed. The exercises are not stressful or hard to do. The exercises are listed in areas as, stretching and toning. I found this book to be helpful because it's not hard. My doctor wanted me to start exercising slowly and work up. This is the perfect start.

It is written by professionals. The large print, illustrations, the cost all good.
The large print is appreciated. The illustrations are very well done, and the how to properly do the exercises is valuable. The one thing is to be consistant. I am trying to walk one day and exercise the next. I am in my early 80's and trying my best.

Recommended
Recommended for older people who can do exercises at home even simply with a single piece of equipment, the "chair".

For the lazier ones.
It is a short and sweet workout book. I like to use it when I want to do a quick workout.
