At first I thought this was overpriced. I was also concern with such a large fan being far too strong for sensitive sundews. However, despite being large: the lowest settings 1-3 provide such a gentle breeze, it's basically like a giant pc fan, but with gentle air movement. On max speed, it feels like a tornado! Tons of blowing force! This means if you have sensitive plants and only want the most gentle of circulation: this can do it for you! On the other hand: if you need a powerful fan that will act like a storm, or move air in a big area: this can do that for you as well, and everything in between. There are 10 strength settings to match virtually any need. The Oscillation feature is great as well. Speaking of features: the "wind gust" mode is fun. It'll speed up to whatever speed you set it at, then slow down to a gently breeze, then back up again. What's more: if you unplug it, or have a power outage: it'll resume on the settings you left it at. Perfect for plants. Installation is a snap (literally). The housing is thick, but not bulky. It is sturdy and well made. The snap holds firm on my plant's poles and doesn't budge or slip down. My opinion went from "overpriced" to great value. It's well worth the cost!

I tried to go cheap and ordered a $16 fan.........what a disappointment it was.....immediately put it back in the box and returned it. i own several SF grow lights and two of their 4 tier plant stands with tents so i had confidence in their quality when i ordered this fan. Now, i may be jumping the gun on this one, as i just got this in today, but straight out of the box, the quality is easily visible, the packaging was excellent, custom fit to protect the fan, even the USPS couldn't hurt this fan in transit, and we all know how they are!!! took about 2 min to look over the instruction book, it's very straight forward and clear on how to operate all modes. i plugged it in and cycled though the various modes and the oscillating feature, everything worked exactly like the book said and the power and quietness of the fan was impressive. it moves a lot of air on setting 10, and all speeds produce linear flow so you can clearly tell each step in speed produces a difference from the previous step. and let me tell you, the 'natural breeze' feature is a very nice addition. like i said at the start, i've not had it long enough to comment on it's longevity, but if it lasts, this is the best grow tent/plant stand fan out there and i'll be getting more of them!!

Great quality as always with Spider Farmer. My last fans were the VIVOSUN which were good but these fans not only have high output. They also have lower gentle flow settings. Now I can use just one fan for cloning and seedlings then just keep turning it up for what the plant needs. I love that I don’t need to switch them out when cloning or starting new seeds. In my opinion this is a great product.

I purchased 4 of the spider fans March 28th 2025. Loved the clips and was generally quite pleased with the fans. I used them for about 4 months to give my seedlings gentle breeze with the oscillating function until I transplanted them in the garden outside. Our growing season for tomatoes and other tender plants is fairly short in Florida Zone 10a, many can't handle the summer heat. I just set them back up to start this years seedlings and 2 of the 4 fans no longer oscillate, big bummer, especially since they were only used for 4 months. If it wasn't for the short lifespan, I would have rated them much higher, when they worked, they were great. But it was a big disappointment $39 ea fans stopped working so soon. I tried trouble shooting, including the power off for several minutes as suggested by the manufacturer, it made no difference. I'll try contacting the manufacturer again, hoping for more than a voice mailbox. UPDATE : The Spider Farmer folks were tough to reach by phone, but promptly replied to my email. Their tech support made sure there wasn't a simple fix or operator error and already shipped out replacements. I'm pleased they helped so quickly, A+ customer service

I have a couple of grow tents and so picked up a couple of these fans for them. The fans clipped onto the corner poles easily and hold very reliably. Both have been running continuously for over a month and no issues so far. The range of airflow is pretty wide, with 10 speeds to flip through, and the range of oscillation is pretty easy to control I've positioned them in several ways, but they constantly creak and groan mildly while oscillating. Not a huge deal but it did concern me for a bit and I could see some people being annoyed by it if they had to be around the noise for long periods. It gets especially loud if you try mounting the fan sideways. There are two buttons: one for speed and one for oscillation. Accidentally bump the speed one unit too high? TAPTAPTAPTAP to get back to the desired number. Just try not to accidentally press the wrong small black button next to the other small black button on the black background of the back of the fan. Neither are a big deal but they definitely could have been designed better, especially when the back of the fan is likely to be facing away and possibly behind plants. Recommended. It blows air reliably and is fairly easy to use, although the controls are awkward and the chassis likes to creak. You can do better but these will still work a treat.

I have taken this out of the box and tried it. It is much sturdier than the cheapies I see at the local hardware store. I liked what I saw. I will be away for a few months and won’t be growing anything in my tent for a while. If I have anything different to say once I give it a serious go I will come back and update.
