OMG! These were soooooo good! So good in fact that I overdosed. I made my favorite seafood appetizer, escargot, using several different online recipes but used this brand item about 3 months in a row and I overdosed. Escargot used to be a mainstay in restaurants for decades, but now you have to search to see if they even have it on the menu. But now that I can make it at home, I'm proud that I did it, but have had my fill until the next craving.

Had them on Christmas and New Year's day . Very good, however the sizes vary, not all are extra large. Also not it says 15 dozen on the can should be 1.5 ( 1 and 1/2 dozen) some people seemed to be confused on this. Would orer again if cannot find locally.

I served the escargot for Christmas Eve dinner and they were a big hit. They were delicious. Will definitly buy them again.

I worked at a restaurant that used this brand of escargot, so now I only use these. They are the perfect size and fit nicely in my Staub.

I love snails and when i serve these people assume they are much more expensive then they are! Easy to prepare!

These snails are the best quality I have ever tasted outside of a restaurant and from a can and at a much better price than I have seen them for elsewhere. They are a higher price than other canned escargot but their smoothness and flavor are worth it, especially if escargot are a special treat for you. I have never found grit or parts of shell in them either. These do not have to be stuffed into shells, I simply put them in a small oven proof bowl, after rinsing well and shaking the water off in a colander - with chives, garlic bits, a tiny bit of garlic salt and place pats of butter on top, pop them into a 375 degree oven for 15 minutes and they are ready.

The flavor is okay. The texture seems a little mushy or gooey. I personally don't think they're a very good substitute for what is served in a good restaurant.
